This assumes I’ll ever get enough savings to buy a car. However, I’ll NEVER buy an “American” car. The quality isn’t there, and I won’t support crony capitalism.

I say this with a heavy heart because my dad was GM’s #1 fan for most of his life. Even he recently got a Toyota.

Ford only. By way of explanation, I’m a union man and have voted Republican in every election since 1980. I can’t imagine myself ever voting Democratic. I’ve driven Fords for the last twenty years with nary a complaint. I drove a 1993 Explorer for ten years. I now drive a 2003 Ford Escape and plan to keep it going until 2018.

My husband is one of the 20,000 Delphi salaried retirees who had their pension taken away by 0bama. We just bought a Ford, after owning GM products for 40 years. We will never give another dime to GM. I request you to do the same.

He should take comfort if it’s a Camry. It’s more made in the USA than any of the big 3 cars.

And it’s still 100% toyota quality.
