Give us some good news....

There is some good news:

Ann Romney won't be rip to shreds like Nancy Reagan was.

The cities aren't in riots (damned civilized conservatives)

when I am replaced at work by an ille--ooops- undocumented worker, I can survive on unemployment for years, saving money by not buying gas to drive to work

How soon before Obama starts blaming himself for the mess he left in his last term... Not holding my breath.

Odd as it may be, I was looking forward to having a decent, normal-looking First Couple make a state visit to England and meet the royal family. Mitt and Ann would have done us proud.

Maybe this time, instead of just pawing the Queen, the wookie beast will flip her on her back and tickle her.

Good news? Well if you’re a fan of the predictive power of the Mayans, rejoice! The world did end. A new world dawns.

And thus ends the good news.

It doesn’t matter. There is no possibility of conviction by the Senate no matter what the facts are. The Senate Democrats are more loyal to their party than the Constitution or the rule of law. The media is more loyal to the Democratic Party than the truth. No one important will go to jail, no one will be impeached or removed from office. His base only cares about getting stuff from government and won’t turn on him as long as the checks keeps coming. It’s sad but you have accept that we live in a different world now where power is everything and we don’t have it.

There is no "good news" as far as America is concerned. We are over as a nation. God has removed his hand of protection from us and we, as a nation, are under the direct judgment of Almighty God and nothing, no man, no movement, concervative or other wise can deliver us from what is coming.

On a personal note, the "Good News" of salvation through saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ has not gone anywhere. This offer is still available to all men who will receive Him in faith. That is the only "Good News" that God has to offer the people of America.

Yup. There was a report yesterday of a chocolate bar lady said she had to vote to keep the checks coming.

Michelle Bachmann was re-elected. Other than that, nothing.

FDR actually had only 3 terms, Thank God.

After 4 more years of Obama, what will the national debt be?

The Klingon said: "The republic withstood the 4 terms of FDR....it will survive O."

I would share your optimism if it wasn't for the fact that I disagree with your premise.

Did the Republic withstand FDR? The seeds of socialism were widely sown. The demographics and economic expansion of the late twentieth century allowed the day of reckoning to be put off.

Instead of recognizing the looming bankruptcy of social security, the socialists have doubled-down with medicare, medicaid, Obamacare, food stamps, guaranteed student loans, "renewable" energy, and many other equally foolish policies. We did not survive FDR.

Much as a cancerous tumor begins with a single malformed cell, our economic and social demise began with an innocent looking localized change with disastrous consequences.
