As the election results pour in tonight, I am confronted with by a period of time in which I must reassess my core values and beliefs, and how they fit into the broader population of the United States.

It is my belief that the Nation is becoming a Humanist Country, where Government is at the Center of Life much as Religion had been in the past. We are becoming more like Sweden or the Nordic countries rather than like the Southern EU nations of Greece, Italy or Spain. The difference between a social democracy and a Humanist Country is at its core one of financial ability to maintain - the Nordic nations have oil, gas and low populations and the South has more people than they can support.

My basis for these thoughts are that I have lived in a state of mind in which I choose to be conservative, religious, and tried to be the best person I could, all the while teaching my children to work hard and be self-reliant.

But as the election results are coming in evidence to the contrary confronts me that many more Americans are not conservative.

The state of American is that just over one-half of the citizens are happy with the Democrats while the conservative half like myself felt he was destruction to the Nation on so many levels.

Tonight I must finally admit that Democrats and liberals have achieved their goals of moving the County into a social democracy like those in Europe; tonight is 1970 in Europe and in 50 years the USA will be in the same dire straights as Europe.

Americans like myself will no longer take the risks or work harder than the laziest in each of our work environments and all seek the same diminishing rewards. Having lived in Europe and experienced the their culture in The Netherlands and Belgium, all incentive to produce has been breed out of the population.

So tonight I must accept that the Country is not going to collapse nor is it going to change much from today for that matter. Tomorrow I will be faced with walking the social plank off the Ship into the water or tread lightly so as not to offend the Humanists, the gays, the anti-Christians, the Latinos, Blacks, women, etc.

Tonight I go to sleep knowing my way of life is in the last generation where a majority once worked hard and individuals were important; tomorrow I embrace the new culture where the intolerant are somehow the norm and to live counter to their culture is being intolerant - I for one do not think I can tolerate this new status quo but will silently accept what our schools and taxes have done to society.

It’s simple.

More takers than makers.

USA is gonna go the way of Greece and Spain and Italy.

Except we don’t have a Germany to pull us out. Oh, wait, we have China.

Remember, 50% of America still supported Romney. Chances are 1 in 2 people will know what the principles of this country are. But you’re right about the big thing— real cultural conservatives need to prepare for becoming a minority, study up, and buckle down.

The economy is toast. Four years from now we'll be wondering, "what the hell did we do to America to make it a third world nation!"

China will be the world's undisputed sole superpower and a majority of Americans will be working part-time low-wage jobs. The housing industry will collapse and more people will lose their homes when they lose their jobs due to the worsening economy. But most won't care as long as they can get free stuff from Obama!

I am thankful I got to live as much of my life as I did in a relatively free society.

My heart breaks for my children and grandchildren who will not have the same opportunities I did.

You have no one to blame but Chamber of Commerce and Free Trade GOP. Create large numbers of illegal immigrants who take jobs and eligible for public assistance while RINO catering to business and free traders open opportunities for Dems. Try to correct the situation creates tension between Hispanics and whites. Buchanan has warned us about this and it is too late. We have five big states in terms of electoral college, CA, NY, TX, FL and IL. Hispanics plus public unions play key role in helping Dems win/dominate CA, NY, IL, now add FL to list. Same is happening to VA and NC. Today the GOP dominates TX, but the southern band is breaking up. Only the Rocky Mountain states are all is left of GOP stronghold.
Demographics has become our destiny. Public unions, unions and white liberals are small in numbers, but add illegal immigrant/Latino American allies, blacks, Jews, and Asians, the coalition is large enough in key states to give Dems narrow Electoral College victories. Vice versa for GOP. I agree this country has hit a tipping point, but what are we all going to do about it? Fracturing the GOP is not the answer because it will make Dem victories even easier. I say sit back and wait. Hispanics and Blacks fight everyday in CA, the liberal Jews will one day must confront the growing Muslim in Dem party. How we deal with defeat is equally important as winning.

I am exiting politics, entirely. When a socialist regime becomes so powerful that an election result no longer represents my voice due to voter fraud, what's the point? When a society comprised of robots ignorant of the issues becomes the majority opinion, what's the point? When a society becomes DOMINATED by ignorant females who vote (with their lady parts) for a cool swagger man because of a hurricane and don't even know what BENGHAZI means, WHAT THE HELL HAVE WE DONE?

God has abandoned us, and we ain't seen nothin' yet. Have at it, ladies. You won't have to worry about a 'war on terror'. There isn't one if you surrender to it, and you will. Enjoy, ladies!

sorry, all this doom and gloom stuff is nonsense, the US still offers the greatest opportunity and freedom of any country in the world (and this is from someone looking in from the outside)

i suggest everyone who is extrapolating the end of America and unending democrat dominance start reading Walter Meade’s blog on the unsustainability of the “blue state model”

http://blogs.the-american-interest.com/wrm/2012/11/06/election-day/
the democrats may think they have demographics on their side but they are going to preside over a public sector collapse if they don’t change their ways

the republicans and conservatives have recognized the unsustainability of the blue model, but are still struggling to explain to people what comes after, and that it doesn’t have to be all bad...

I completely can relate with your sentiment dear fellow FReeper.
But I must remind you, that living in this once great nation, living as a conservative believing that a man or a party will ensure our Freedom is an illusion. Things must get worse before they get better. This nation died today. I am hearing four more years. The Bible says that “cursed is the man that trusts in man.” Today we get what we deserve for our apathy, our materialism and vain pursuits. We voted God out our classrooms and we are now reaping the whirlwind. God is not mocked and you cannot play the whore with wholesome truth and not get burned. This nation has forsaken God and as a result our population is now struck with ignorance and amnesia of what made our country great. The huddled masses will now stand at the altar of desolation and desperation and the motley Crüe of ignoramuses and Obama zombies will come out and have their day but for a very short lived moment of glee and then when they say “peace” sudden destruction will come.
It is truly sad and everyone of this forum must look inward as today is truly a day of reckoning for all of us. The new world order is tonight kicked into high gear. Worship not the beast or his image Revelation 14 :12
We are the last generation

I am sick to my stomach right now. I am trying to comprehend just how the American people, with four solid years of documented failure, would re-elect this man.

The only conclusion I can draw is that the American people have accepted an entitlement society and socialism and have rejected free enterprise and Capitalism. If that is the case, America, as a great economic and military power, is over.

Our future is now one of continual decline, increasing debt, increasing taxes, increasing social programs, government-subsidized health care and polarization.

I predict that the end result of this will be a civil war.

Good-bye to Ronald Reagan’s vision of America, and hello to Josef Stalin’s.

Tonight I weep for my country.

If it makes you feel any better, there are parts of Western Europe (the Netherlands are good example) where privately owned small businesses are doing very well, and in fact small business is typically 2-3 times the percentage of GDP in most of Western Europe than it is in the US.

The reason is that a lot of the “Socialism” in these countries (ex: guaranteed access to health care, preferential treatment of retail smaller businesses as opposed to their larger competitors) is actually very friendly to the creation and stability of small (1-100 person) businesses.

There is definitely still a place the these societies for individual initiative and ownership, in fact if you are a smaller business owner, you will *on the average* do better in the Netherlands than here (thought it’s also harder to do *spectacularly* well there, primarily due to higher taxes), which is why even the conservative parties support a lot of such programs.

This view is anathema to a most posters here, but it’s not fantasy; my wife has family in the Netherlands, we visit regularly, and it’s simply a fact that it’s a country with a vibrant private sector.

When I was 13, my Father told me something that I never forgot, “nobody owes you a living”. Very simple, very concise and it is exactly how I have lived my life.

I have been working in one sense or another since I was eight years old. Yard work, Paper Route, Pumping Gas and whatever it took. There was no “allowance” in my home, there was work and reward.

If the final numbers come up to an Obama victory, so be it.
The Entitlement Society has overruled the Risk and Reward Society. We are now our Brothers keepers, under threat of punishment from the Government. Envy has replaced hard work and the Ballot Box has replaced the need to steal.

Tomorrow is another day, and we will be in the same situation we are today, with the caveat that the Left now has nothing to lose.

Just step over the bloodied Corpse and go on your way. There is nothing to see here, the victim was the perpetrator.

God Bless us one and all.

Capitalism isn’t going away anytime soon, even in Western Europe, and certainly not here, and it still rewards initiative and hard work.

Yeah, Christian conservatives/Western civilization American people who live here won’t fit into the land anymore in culture, values or way of life. We have not fit in for a long time now, culturally and socially. Now they have pulled up the bridge to our economic and constitutional way of life.

Actually, we were not doing well living with only materialistic expression permitted here. Our people’s way of life intertwined a Christian and constitutional social with an economic culture. Humanists twisted, erased and banned it.

Modern conservatives have falsely viewed themselves as being a part of a nation but that nation’s courts and intellectuals pretty much outlawed and debased and hated them in public and in every way. We had the majority for a long time and could hold them off economically, but it never really changed dented the march of humanism and globalism and the cleansing of our people’s social and legal ideals and our National way of life.

As we were cleansed socially (of Christian morals and values and often, marriage relationships and families) and legally (of constitutional freedom) in public, humanists and their ideal of immorality and materialism invaded our churches and hollowed them out, too.

I think in the future Christian American-Americans will turn to one another and be more of who we are and protective with one another like the other minority tribes. Humanists are like filthy racists. They absolutely hate us. They have whole university studies on debasing and hating our ancestors, freedom...and God. Things are going to get wierder and uglier in humanist society. We are going to need to look out for one another. I don’t think there is anywhere to run. This is a global monster.
