You are completely wrong there. The IRS does make "assumptions," and if the server gets stiffed and therefore doesn't claim the anticipated percentage, that server is in big trouble. I worked with a guy that was in an audit. How was he supposed to "prove" his tips? You seem to be as misinformed as the DUmmies. It is a sad case and I hope you don't eat out. If you do, you are a thief, and part of the problem in this country, not the solution.
