I just voted in Anaheim and it was nearly empty. I walked right up to the table. I was out of there in five minutes and I only saw 3 or 4 voters while I was there. It is a small polling place in a retirement building but in 2008 there was a line of about 20 people. I Voted at 8:30am as I usually do.
So, do you think that is good or bad?
My polling place was the same way at 8:30 am...in a retirement/senior facility. And I live in a community I would describe as politically active. Most folks in this community vote after work.
Three people in line before me at 8am in San Francisco. Polls opened at 7am. I estimate about 15 people had voted before me from the count on the machine. This is in South Beach.
I think it is a good sign because in 2008 when Obama won in a landslide there was a long line of voters at this poling place, even early in the morning.
Last time the gay marriage ban was on the ballot so that may have also been a factor. This year we only have the usual teacher's unions wanting additional revenues for the children's sake.
possibly many Democrats are disgusted with obama but don’t want to vote R so will not vote at all.
I'm thinking that working people will favor Romney and the not working people will favor Obama and vote before the working crowd.
Im a victim of the 0bama Depression, so I was able to vote during working hours.
It also means that even in CA the enthusiasm for BHO is lousy, a good portent in other states.
I live in a small town (about 4000 souls) we have 2 polling places, at my polling place (I checked at noon) they had recorded 680 votes...
Out front there are hundreds of Campaign Signs ...
NOT EVEN ONE Obama sign... ;^)
TT
I have to agree with that observation. Judging from the yard signs in my OC neighborhood, it appears to be mostly democrat - however, they are not showing support for obama as all the yard signs are down ticket races.
The fewer people vote, the higher your vote rises in value.
