I’ll bet that Victoria’s Secret is a paying customer. That’s the main reason Bloomers did not want to cancel the NYC Marathon. The city lost the $340 million the marathon committee was paying. Similarly, I’d bet Bloomers does not want to lose whatever rent the runway show is paying, even if that means relief crews (for whom the armory was built) get booted and NYC citizens end up suffering as a result.

The “other side” of this story is that apparently it was the show producers who got the power going in the armory, because they were already there doing show prep:

I left the New York City area in 1988 due to the area’s messed up values (MONEY! POWER! IMAGE!....wood, hay, stubble). The Guardsmen and the rest of New York are not important because they are not the “beautiful people”. The place continues to be dominated by vapid shallow phony limousine liberals. Good riddance!
