Another interesting statistic is change in voter registration. From the PA Dept. of State, since 12/28/2008, 117,438 D's changed to R.

There may be some that did that, but I do not recall any concerted movement to do so. The last time there was an organized effort to switch parties and vote in a primary was in 2008 (Hillary vs. Obama), and those switching were Republicans.
