Casino Royal was two movies tied together with some plot connections. The first half was the best Bond film ever. I’ve watched it many times. It ends when the girl left the restaurant. The rest is a puzzling and unnecessary coda. They missed a great opportunity to end the movie there.
I’ve never read the books, and grew up with Sean Connery although I’m not a die-hard fan of his. Connery was the best until Craig, but Craig is simply a better actor, and the Bond he creates is more believable and interesting to me.
