Many are still asleep.
Wait until a major live event happens.
And this is happening on what planet?
Yes, it’s running a lot better the last couple of days ... for me here in WI at least.
Thanx Jim, my browser had been ‘timing out’. I thought it was Fire Fox 12.
Running a bit better, but my hopes aren’t high for election night.
I still can’t get to my local board...
And I wouldn’t put all my eggs in one basket for election night either....
I changed my settings to 20 comments per page and that helped a lot.
Page loading is better, posting is still iffy sometimes taking mulitply attempts. ...from Houston, Tx area.
Not better for me, still getting a “can not connect” and have to try twice to reload.
I’ve used “System Ninja” to clear my computer of junk files, etc., and while other sites load much faster FR remains very slow.

It seems to have helped. Everyone try them.
Now the world is bereft of my brilliant thoughts that it never got to see for that time period.....although today I can't even remember what I wanted to post, LOL.

I’ve not had any problems with it. It loads quickly for me.
Don’t know what the difference might be.
It has been whipping along today like it has not done in months. But every time I open my mouth to say it is better then it goes back to be impossible if not difficult to access. I hope that something really has been fixed this time. I have this feeling that it is going to be greatly needed for this election. I see something in the future even far more nasty than the 2000 election if Obama is in danger of losing. Watch Ohio... Because cheating there is So easy for the democrats.
I’ve had more luck getting into the main page. But it has still been very slow loading threads and, especially, posting replies or getting into Mail.
It’s working OK now, but I suspect that’s because most Freepers are elsewhere at the moment.
Some Freepers have said that the problem may not be FR alone, but that there are problems getting to FR through the net. I’m wondering if they’ve set up something in the Chicago hub to discombobulate FR connections? Whatever it is, it doesn’t seem to bother Drudge, who is another major enemy of Obamster. I’m surprised they haven’t done more to take Drudge down.
