Some consequences of bloomie's indecision. Global warming must have deranged him/s
Site shows pic of online poster for the marathon still being on!

I think the race was postponed.

They could institute a slight waiver and give those hurt a 20 oz soda at a discount, of course.

Gloomberg has one? Given his diminutive stature and little emperor complex I would be surprised if he did.

Even the runners agree with the decision to cancel. They want to do the right thing. New Yorkers are in no mood for parties.

No, it was canceled. The very first headline on FR (the usual "I heard it so I'm posting first with no story!!!) said postponed, but that was wrong.

It’s a pretty sure bet that the big-name sponsors of the Marathon called up city hall and just said they were pulling out. After the third call...the mayor probably realized the mess left for him to clean up. When you look for adult leadership....you expect people at the top to comprehend the gravity of problems and react the right way. In this case....Bloomberg was extremely lost on the right direction.
To: madison10
I should have made it clearer that this article is about the people who have already spent big $$ to go to the marathon (donate to the storm victims, etc.) and now are going to get stiffed.

It was a typical liberal knee jerk reaction to say it was still on in the first place. Thinking is not a liberals strong suit.

Good thing we don’t have a President Bloomberg with his finger on the nuclear button.

Adding to this are severe insults by hotels, which frequently impose 48-hour cancellation penalties in NYC
... except there are no hotel/motel rooms available at all now in NY, because they're all housing displaced hurricane victims. It's so bad that the Pittburgh Steelers are flying into NY this weekend on Game Day, and leaving right after playing, because even they can't get any accomodations.

The headline writer should be flogged, I doubt that is the type of thing JR wants associated with his website

Even for the idiots who believed the hope and change line know it's too late to blame Bush and too early to blame Romney. Comment from site too good to not post.

You are all losing sight of what is important in this New York City tragedy. Thanks to Doomberg, no one is drinking a Big Slurpee. He single handedly saved the million of inhabitants. (What a Nanny State Nazi. At lest Hitler had the trains run on time.)
