Finally recorded then watched Passengers. All I got to say is ?????????????? until someone enlightens me. The key question is, is/was Ann Hathaway's character alive or dead. Towards the end I thought I heard one or several references to the fact that all passengers died. And at the end her apartment was empty. So if she was really dead what am I watching or what was the movies about.
I mean a movie about a dead persons thoughts???????
I searched Wikipedia and IMDB with to direct answers to my confusion.
With ‘no’ direct answer to my confusion.
From Wiki: She realizes that everyone she came into contact with over the last few weeks was actually dead; "ghosts" of friends and family who were trying to help her come to terms that she, and the other passengers, have died. As the movie ends, Claire's sister, Emma, and her husband are let into her now-abandoned apartment by the landlord, where she discovers a note Claire was planning to send to make peace with her.
Gee, where have I seen this before?
Thank you. Wow,,,, I completely missed it. Oh, again, don’t get old. I’m not sure if that movie would have made sense to me at 30 less 70.
I see dead people.
An old theme - reminds me of the Leslie Howard 1930’s film Outward Bound (remade several times after that) of a shipful of travelers who don’t realize they’re dead and are “outward bound”.
I see dead threads.
Good call. Similar plot.
The Others also used a similar plot twist.
There was at least one live person having hallucinations or whatever. In Passengers everybody, it turns out was dead but not quite???? Living people can imagine,,,,,, dead,,,,,, not so much.
After I saw that movie, I realized the TV series LOST had ripped off their plot from that movie (at least the ending.)
