The world's only airworthy WW2 De Havilland Mosquito bomber, newly restored in New Zealand , has made history with its first flight since the 1940s. This New Zealand TV News video is 2 minutes long and needs sound.

I know the guy that owns this beauty.It wasnt cheap by any stretch of the imagination but worth it.They guys that built the bird are making a wing for another mossie that was used in the movie 633 sqdrn.So in a couple more years there will be another in the air.Hats off to you Warren. Tom

The AMAZING plywood fighter-bomber that staggered the Germans when it outran some of its fighters. Led the British night bombers in the 'pathfinder' role, a very hazardous role indeed. Created in desperation, flown to victory.

Two Spitfire engines, no waiting! Also, if memory serves, the first “stealth” bomber, inadvertently. They discovered it had a rather small radar signature due to the wood construction.
