Apparently, those ill cover several states, including Tenn, Maryland, Virginia. They are getting ill from aspergillus meningitis contaminated with aspergillus in the steroidal shots.

I think he’s trying to imply this was a terrorist attack, which is clearly an insane implication.

I am in Nashville, and know doctors involved in this investigation, and it is pretty clear by now that this was an accidental fungal contamination that took place in the private lab that created the steroids.

That’s what I thought he was insinuating. Wow, you are that close to the investigation. Good luck in figuring this out. I inject steroids (kenalog, dexamethasone) all the time and this is a little unsettling to say the least. I’m going to have my allergy nurse check our vials. But this is a private lab you said right?

Yes, my understanding is that they were produced in North Carolina, and that the bulk of the problem lots were sent to St. Thomas hospital here, but for sure if you are using similar products you should be very careful you don’t have something tainted.

My Dr. offered the shots to me a month ago. Thank goodness I’m afraid of needles.
Opted for PT instead.
