well metallica 80’s-90’s,,nirvana,smashing pumpkins 90’s and several other great bands —weren't flash in the pan bands,,they were just too reckless and died.

Definitely Metallica in the 80s. Frank Zappa deserves a seat in there somewhere, as well as Sabbath, Motörhead, and so many others.
