“If you are allergic to wheat, there are other grains that you can use such as barley, buckwheat, amaranth, Kamut®, millet, quinoa, rye, spelt, triticale corn, farina, germade, oats and rice.”

People are not allergic to wheat. They are allergic to gluten. And barley, rye, farina, triticale, kamut, and spelt all contain gluten.

Just stockpile jerky mix and there will be plenty of of the remaining ingredient necessary to make soylent green. Tastes like chicken!

Ok....do you mean to put it into a large bag of some sort? These are big 50 lb. bags of food.

We have a finished basement that is cool and pretty dry. This is where I am storing my extra food products.

I put in 5 gallon buckets with lids or at least in trash cans. Also by having some in the buckets that gives you something you can grab and go with.

> My cat has proven that she could be useful in a SHTF situation. She brings me bunny rabbits that she somehow kills without breaking the skin.

So does my cat; and he also brings home pigeons, ducks, geese, pheasants, and the occasional woodchuck. I have not actually seen him in the process of lugging this stuff home, but he does get it here somehow, and some of these critters are bigger that he is.

One neighbor eliminated all the feral hogs here after about a year or two. Cutting down the numbers is one thing but taking them all out was ridiculous.

Another moronic lib neighbor went nutzo over a squirrel on his property. He chased it past a few houses and down to ours where he shot it. We had been away so the dogs were outside. When we got home, lil miss brought the dogs in and started mowing the yard. Moments later the moron’s mama calls to say son shot a squirrel in our yard and left it there. Good thing the dogs were there. I held my temper, hung up and was headed to yell at lil miss but was too late. Clunk, clunk, splat. Lil miss ran over the squirrel so it went everywhere. A 12 year old girl cleaned up the mess a grown man who lives with his mama couldn’t. One guess where it was. At her window. Cursed fool could have shot my kid if we’d been home. Or the dogs. And that’s not even talking about what a-h comes to my house and shoots anything!!!

He’s also the one who stole my brand new never used garden rake.

I had another thought. How about putting the bags in a trash can along with one of those little *closet dehumidifiers* to soak up any excess moisture?

my blue heeler (untrained) herded 8 racoons into the corner of the yard. animal control was very impressed. I know Johnny, I should have used them in some sort of varmit frikasee or something but my neighbors already think i am too redneck for the community

Naw, why would anyone need seeds? It’s not like you might need to replenish your food supply, right?

It is VERY good - and I’m not a fan of Spam! It tastes very bacon-y! Makes a great Spam, lettuce & tomato sammich! :-)

They won’t feed you enough to be worth that plan.
Much better as live security, rodent control, hunting aids, and emotional support.
