(SNIP) "Promised Land," starring Matt Damon, Frances McDormand, John Krasinski, Rosemarie DeWitt and Hal Holbrook, is the fracking (anti-fracking?) movie shot in Western Pennsylvania earlier this year. In an interview in June after shooting finished, Krasinski told the Post-Gazette the film is about fighting for American identity and pride and the original script was about wind power, later changed.

I took my wife to see Clint Eastwood's new movie "Trouble with the Curve" today and "Promised Land" was among the previews. Talk about unmitigated crap -- this takes the cake while spreading total baloney about fracking and natural gas drilling.

Sounds like Hollyweird is going to “China Syndrome” the oil and gas industry.

For anyone who watches the original CSI, there was an episode about fracking last season. It took us a while to figure out that the storyline had several people who had died or were dying from contamination of their wells with natural gas. There was even an explosion from a well that killed a guy. I looked up this type of risk from fracking and guess what? There was no evidence of anything like any of those examples actually happening. Hollywood has the bully pulpit and pushes their agenda (and the Dem agenda) all the time. It is insidious.

Predictable. And sad. Fracking is our best chance at digging ourselves out of the hole we are in.

No Mark Ruffalo?
Whoever made the movie fracked him over for sure.
