Smart move. Everyone in the republican side must get as much distance from him as possible.
And this was the guy the democrats were supposed to have funded in the primaries?
Something is way rotten here.
Good for Romney.
Good.
FU MR! God Bless you Patriotic Conservative Akin. Stay in the race and fight for the conservative principles you have and for God’s sake don’t listen to a jerk like Romney. He couldn’t be more liberal if he tried.
You know, I’m not defending Akin, but Romney is really lowering himself getting involved with this local drivel.
Akin is radioactive. He has to swallow the pride and for the good of the nation step away.
Well according to Missouri law, he’s got 36 minutes, as of this post....
Why is Romney lowering himself to speak on this issue that Missouri needs to hash out?
Good! In fact, excellent!
Obama just released an e-mail blast today depicting Akins as typifying the GOP. Yes, I know Akins didn’t mean it “that way,”but he gave the Dems a big sound bite and this has got to be combatted now, especially since he’s got such such a swollen ego that he’s willing to take the whole Senate and GOP down with him.
I heard Aikin on Huckabee. That boy ain’t backing out.
No way, no how. He is a True Believer (in himself).
Oh for the record I am no fan of Romeny. I want Claire replaced.
And as we all know, with Romney in the White House something is SURE to get done about abortion.

Note to Republicans. You are not lowlife, commie ‘RAT liberals. You don’t get a free pass. Keep your mouths shut and don’t say anything stupid. If Rimshot Joe Biden had said this it would have been no big deal. The commie ‘RAT libs in Barry’s state run “media” would be saying that Rimshot, or any other commie ‘RAT, was being “taken out of context” and that would be the end of it.
Ohhh — for a minute I thought Romney said that he was exiting the race for the good of the country so that we can get rid of Romneycare, er Obamacare. Heart be still —
If a candidate signed legislation banning firearms based upon what they are called, or looked like, I would call on THEM to exit the race..... (wonder who might have done that)
The GOP doesn’t need to deal with Akin. He’s really gotta drop out.
Now the nominal RINO leader of the party disowns him as well as most conservative commentators, the leader of the Tea Party, the Republican leadership, Republican PACs. He will have no campaign money to fight the 12 million McCaskill has in the bank to advertise that everyone in the universe has disowned this loose cannon except a few kamicaze freepers. The only senate seat he may win is the one in the parallel universe he lives in.
I am officially NOT voting this November for ANYONE!
Interesting that the Republicans are keeping this fire burning even more than the leftist talking heads.
Republicans seem to be treating the election like it’s in the bag and we have wiggle room to spare. The fact is, we don’t have room to spare. We need to win the races we can win, and not roll the dice on a guy that answered this abortion question so stunningly ineptly.
The last time conservatives were preening and counting their chickens before they hatched was just a short while ago with Obamacare and the Supreme Court. We know how that turned out.
Nobody quite falls on their arse like self assured Republicans. It’s astonishing.
