What’s stupid is that the parodies are the best possible advertising for seeing the “Downfall” movie, which is actually a quite good movie. If I were the studio, I’d encourage all the parodies I could.

I got "Downfall" from Netflix. It is a fact-based account of Hitler's last days. Very interesting and educational. German film with English subtitles.
More info.
In the movie, the section everyone has been parodying is not funny or amusing. It is the first time his staff realizes Hitler is losing it.

He came to a simple conclusion.
"The war can no longer be won militarily”
Two months later Fritz Todt died in a plane crash.
