An Australian Olympic married couple claims they have been prohibited from sharing a room in the London Olympic Village, even though gay couples are reportedly allowed to do so.
Olympic shooters Russell and Lauryn Mark told news.com.au that they are being discriminated against by officials.
The stupid part of this, which I have argued to them, is that there are tons of gay couples on the Olympic team who will be rooming together, so we are being discriminated against because we are heterosexual, Russell Mark told news.com.au.

Remember, liberals are dumb, so just use this easy out: “Hey, we’re really gay, but are only married for convenience....so we can still stay in the same room.”
When you compromise with Evil. Evil Wins.
“ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL, BUT SOME ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS”
My guess is the dorms are either all-male or all-female.
Multiple people are probably assigned to each room, and (if it is like most typical dorms) the rooms don’t have private bathroom/showers, but rather there is a common bathroom/shower area.
This is a perfectly reasonable setup, but it is poorly setup for men and women to share the same room.
My guess they didn’t even consider the possibility of married couples sharing the same room, because—after all—how many married couples are there entered in the Olympics (or ever in history)? Not many. They were trying to arrange the dorms to accomplish as many people as possible as cheaply as possible. Same sex dorms accomplish that.
The gay couples are just taking advantage of a loophole. Two male (or female) competitors (gay or straight) share the same room. The fact that nobody monitors what goes on inside the rooms is the loophole.
I first read that as "The gay couples are just taking advantage of a poophole."
Ah, yeah, the so called “transvestite can go in girl restrooms” loophole.
Unbelievable how stupid PC we have become.
I have been the general manager of an auto dealership since 1990. GM, Ford, and Chrysler all accept same sex domestic partners for employee benefits. If you are a male employee living with a female, you get nothing. I guess that’s what you call equality in Obama’s world.
Ping for later
Your take is correct IMO, but I admit to enjoying seeing the left get a groundless bias accusation used against them, for once.
