Rogue Yam has stood tall with SF Freepers on many an occasion as we confronted the filthy liberals in SF. I know Rogue Yam and hope he stays with FR.

I can't understand the motivations. If I don't like this site, I don't have to visit it.
I guess, with all of the history we have made some people have an emotional attachment to FR. That's understandable, but logic, and facts is what drives conservatives and FReepers, not emotion. If someone posts something bogus (e.g. news article, observation, reporting, errors in interpretation, etc.) they are called out, and held to account. That's why this site is what it is. We have made history no matter the venue (e.g. the media, publishing, the presidency, "higher" education, etc.).
Jim, you have been very forgiving, and tolerant (although, sometimes the Mods have a wild hair up their a$$).
I choose to be here because I know, in the near future, this site will make history again, and that we make the liberal's/socialist's/democRAT's collective heads exploded.

I have considered you a friend for years and still do.
I have posted to you at length recently about the current state of Free Republic. This I have done in the spirit of loyal opposition. Nothing I have posted to you is “nasty” or “vile”. Critical, yes, but not nasty or vile.
I won’t repeat these discussions here. Anyone who wants to know my opinions can search on my handle. I stand behind everything I’ve written.
I have received numerous messages of support for my analysis of the current state of affairs here, both publicly and privately. I have received plenty of criticism as well. I post what I think is true and important and good for conservatism, and let the chips fall where they may.
I have no need or desire to post an opus. I have no intention of leaving. If you told me you were going to close my account tomorrow, I would post no opus today. I think the whole opus genre is kind of silly.
I will continue to post what I consider to be honest and worthwhile posts in support of conservatism. If you find that my idea of conservatism (which includes being critical of other posts when I find them to be unreasonable, untrue, or otherwise not in keeping with conservative principles) is incompatible with your vision for Free Republic, then you know where the zot button is.
It is nice to have fans and be loved and appreicated isn’t it?
Some of they things they say are really beyond the pale, but in charity many are conflicted with a conservative subconscious supporting Romney and all so a bit of pity for all be the most egregious...
