If we never hear another word about it we’ll know it was a UFO.

I remember reading about this below in 1967.
UFO Crashes at Spitzbergen, Norway, 1946 & 1952
In the early 1950s, rumors began circulating that a crashed UFO had been recovered on the Norwegian-owned island of Spitzbergen., or Spitsbergen, is one of a group of islands called Svalbard, which have been Norwegian possessions since the 1920s. The islands lie over 500 miles north of Norway, inside the Arctic Circle...

It is the craft of Bigfoot’s cousin, Webfoot. He stays mainly in his home in a Black Hole in the Bermuda Triangle but has been know to venture elsewhere.
I seen it on the History Channel.

It's the long lost clean-out/drain plug described in the Viking runes that have long mystified scholars. According to Norse legend, Kraksho, the Asgaard giant in charge of plumbing and sanitation installed the drain to middle earth in case global warming caused the seas to rise and threaten to flood the fjords. Like Thor's mighty hammer Kraksho's giant magic wrench would save the day.
This illustration records Krahsho inspecting the installation of the drain. Sadly there's no scale reference to indicate the massive size of the giant.
Scientists imagine the giant circular object once uncovered will appear to be something like this.

FAIL!
31/2 inch? If it was true shouldn't it be metric. ;-)

Its a Nazi wunder weapon built in 1944 to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat—Not finished in time to win the war so they sank it.

Thanks, I’ve often felt that FR has far more influence (one way or another) than anyone admits in the wider world. Or, as Zero has said about every small nation on Earth, we punch above our weight. ;’)

Assuming, just for a moment, the intrepic explorers do find an extraterrestrial craft on the sea floor, does anyone believe that would be reported? Maybe, maybe not... We should first ascertain if there is *serious* money to be made from the discovery. If so, then it's quite likely someone (person, corp and/or govt) would exploit the find whether extraterrestrial or not.
Personally, I firmly believe that if "they" are actually out there (which I doubt), then they are so far away as to be eternally undetectable and our paths will never cross. The Fermi Paradox (wikipedia) pretty much leads me to the conclusion that "they" don't actually exist, which I attribute to an intentional, divine design.

200 feet wide? Well, that pretty much rules out Jimmy Hoffa.
