Matt Kuchar wins the TPC with his Mom and his Wife and a bunch of kids around him on Mother's Day. He hit the shots and good for him. He will now be set for the next 5 years on the PGA tour.
Kuchar has been a consistent guy in the Masters but had to go back to the "Q" school recently.
He recently got a coach who "flattened out" his swing (note to all you Saturdat golfers - I did this too and it worked like a charm for accuracy).

I'm just glad to see a guy like Matt - who has a smile instead of a club throwing mentality - win a big tournament. :-) I hope he wins a bunch more!!

A great win for a great guy.(and that $1.7 million dollar check is pretty sweet too)It's great to see a guy who has struggled so much keep working hard and rise to the top. All the bitter disappointments and years of playing mini tours and qualifier rounds make the victories even sweeter.Kuchar takes the prize with his mom there on Mother's day ...next up we have the US Open ending on Father's Day. Who will be next?

I watched it and I couldn't be more happy with Kuchar's win. Soooo glad that miserable punk Woods was no where to be seen.
The shot of Kuchar on the 18th with wife and kids was worth a million bucks.

He’s one of the good guys. Love that two great guys have won the big tournaments so far this year.

I hadn’t seen him play recently. What struck me is if you watched his swing from behind, it very much looked like Ernie Els’s.

I’ve been a fan of Matt’s since he was an am. Remember the controversy over his dad getting excited while caddying for him at the US Open. Silly that was.

Glad to see him win. Anyone who hangs in there to the finish deserves the trophy and the check. I was hoping Kevin Ny would be able to pull off his first win, but he has too many issues he has to overcome first. He has to get his confidence built back up.

We missed a learning experience when Na elected to drop his ball on the cart path on 18 to avoid a poor lie in ragged turf. That was a crappy job by the TV crew that showed Kuchar eating a snack instead of explaining what went on and showing the droop.
None-the-less, it was a great win for MK.

Excellent point. Had Woods made that shot, the TV audience would have needed bibs to handle all the slobbering adoration from the announcers.

You’re right. I also wish they had discussed hitting off a cart path. I’ve had instances where I’ve dropped in rough because I didn’t want to mess up a club on a cart path.
