Read Ezekiel Emmanuel's paper on the "Complete Lives System". He is an 0bama health care advisor and brother of former Chief of staff Rahm. He states that the limited health care resource must be rationed. He cites several areas that could be used, two of those are age and "usefulness to society". A PDF of this paper can be viewed at
Complete Lives System. It is easy to see how this administration would determine usefulness. The others may just get late term abortion.
Thanks for the source on Dr. Ezekiel’s infamous article from Lancet. I had it earlier, but couldn’t find it later. The one diagram it contains is the whole message and since, due to my age, my usefulness to society as they measure it is essentially zero, then my personal outlook is at best, dire.
All I can say is this is an unbelievable argument and to have it come from the Department of Ethics is ironic beyond belief.
