I know how much Freepers hate Romney,so hence my question
Yes. Whatever it takes to vote Obama out.
You must be kidding? Mr. Newt should take 2nd seat to anyone in this race. Maybe Mr. Newt could offer him a seat on his economic team?
EAGLES UP MR. NEWT! To hell with Romney.
It’s not a question of ‘living with it.’
It’s a question of whether they are willing to do what is necessary to do to fix the communist/socialist train wreck that Obammie and his Commies have orchestrated.
To me, the answer is no.
At this point, all that I hope to get out of the next four years is to prevent Obammie the Commie from picking two justices for the USSC.
But I believe were are headed for complete financial Armageddon by 2015 and that it can’t be avoided.
If Republicans are in the WH, the left will ensure everyone and their grandmother blames ‘capitalists,’ the ‘free market,’ and ‘conservatives,’ and not the DemocRATS and the RINOs that caused this.
Yeah, but he isn’t going to pick Newt.
Rubio will be the VP, because if Florida doesn’t go red, Obama will be re-elected.
New York, California, and Florida going blue is game over.
Newt isn’t that desperate..
No and I would lose all respect for Newt if he decided to run with Romney. I hate Romney that much.
Nope, if Romney is on the top of the ticket, I’m out, and many others with me. We’ve been warning the GOPers about this forever, but they haven’t been listening.
Cest la vie. It’s more important to discipline the GOP as an opposition force to liberalism/socialism, than to win at any cost and accept socialism into the party. Hell the GOP is bad enough as it is with Boehner and McConnell as the power bloc.
In other words, I would rather lose the presidency than accept a statist-lite at the head of the GOP.
Maybe Romney takes McCain. How bad would that be...I couldn’t even imagine. Isn’t Christie his best pal? But the running mate would be the guy who endorsed him very early besides Christie.think people...who would that be? One thing I feel is He won’t take Newt...

A better question would be, Could Newt live with a Romney/Gingrich ticket? I suspect his answer would be a resounding NO!
No.
I will never vote for liberal Romney for anything.
No!
I’m not sure about that. Gingrich was Speaker of the House.
VP is a step up, so to speak. He may go for it if asked.
Odd coincidence.
I was thinking about exactly this possible pairing, this afternoon.
Might be the solution actually.
No, No Romney. Period.
YOU have just blown my mind with this post. LOL!!
The neophyte frat boy Rick NEVER thought of this scenario!
He can’t read signals if you drew pictures, but what a coux for Romney to negotiate such a deal with Newt!
Newt would negotiate Romney right out of his magic underwear before he would consent to such an explosive idea!
Rick needs to smell the coffee. He has perked it, and is perched where he is now, on the back of Newt Gingrich taking all the fire from the kill machine alone, so Rick could have a free field to romp, in state after state.
I also believe we are past the tipping point, and that informs my strategy that Romney is unacceptable with any VP. At best he would delay the system crash, at worst he would hasten it and get all the blame, taking the GOP down with him.
On the other hand, no presidential candidate, except maybe Ron Paul*, truly gets the fiscal nightmare we are in and the oncoming train called hyperinflationary/deflationary collapse.
*I’m not a Paulbot, because I am doubtful that Paul would be willing or able to save the system. He simply comes closest to recognizing the problem.
Since I not only dislike Romney, but loathe Gingrich, the answer is an easy ‘No!’.
NOPE!!!!
I am ABO. But this matchup will never happen. Newt hates Romney (can’t blame him).
It’ll be ABO/Rubio. Need FL and Hispanic vote would kill Obama in western swing states like New Mexico, Nevada, etc.
Never again voting for the lesser of 2 evils.
My franchise is worth more then that.
I want to vote for a candidate that will put America back on track.
This Country needs a STRONG CONSERVATIVE LEADER and that ain’t Romney..
NO.
Rubio to win....
Never any ticket with Romney on it!!!
“The vice presidency isn’t worth a bucket of warm spit.”
John Nance Garner
Are you nuts?
Yes, I doubt Newt would run with Willard. The personal animosity is just to much at this point. Besides it would be like making Barney Fife Sheriff and Andy the deputy.
If on the other hand its just about getting the GOP candidate elected no matter who he is then a question like this makes sense.. I like many others here will never vote for Romney period..
place marker
No way
It won’t be Gingrich or Santorum. The obvious ticket is Romney-Rubio.
Funny...I had the very same thought. Admit it or not, Romney appeals to those moderates and independents (that I cannot comprehend..but look at the votes so far). The VP role is typically allotted the “attack dog” role...and Newt has already proven himself as the leader. The VP is also the leader of the Senate. The question is, would either of them them go for such a combination? If it comes to that, I would vote for it. 0bama MUST go, he must be impeached or voted out in November.
I’d live with the perfect Gingrich/Romney ticket. Send the Bishop to foreign funerals to baptize the dead!
I will never vote for Romney.
I will sorely be disappointed in Gingrich that he chose to prostitute himself to Romney.
NO!
I can only speak for myself, though there will be many opinions. Choosing between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama is like choosing between heartburn and a heart attack. Both are bad, but we can survive heartburn. But why limit ourselves to these two choices if we can avoid it?
I’d sooner vote for Joey Bishop than for Mitt Bishop!
Rubio is Bush born, bred and bought. I like him too. Just don’t entirely wax your antenna on him just yet. He’s all things bright and beautiful right now for the conservative Right.
Oh, yea second response. Romney has already chosen Paul (one or the other).
A better ticket would be Romney/Rubio . That would seal the deal to remove O once and for all. Gingrich would only hurt that chance.
No
Whether we “like” it or not, Romney WILL be the nominee. Believe me I DON’T like it. Santorum is a great guy but he’s “scary” to independents. So the million dollar question is can he make up for it with a good VP choice. For me, Rubio. Realisticaly, Newt comes to mind.
Nope. If the GOP nominates a liberal like Romney then they do not need conservatives like me.
Myth couldn’t.
The Obama campaign would like to welcome all of the “I will never vote for Romney” people onto their team. Without you, they could not have 4 more years to implement their Socialist revolution.
I don't like Romney, and there's a chance he may not even be the nominee, but if he is he won't surround himself with Bill Ayers, Anita Dunn, Reverend Right and invite communists and Anarchist to stay in the Lincoln bedroom.
