I can only speak for myself, though there will be many opinions. Choosing between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama is like choosing between heartburn and a heart attack. Both are bad, but we can survive heartburn. But why limit ourselves to these two choices if we can avoid it?
I'm a Newt backer, as you know, but I'll stick to my guns (literally) and still not vote for Milt, even if he had Newt as VP.
Again, one “benefit” of living in a People's Republic is that Obama will win here overwhelmingly, so my one vote won't make a difference.
If Romney is the candidate we’re gonna want a much better (and younger so they can run in 2020 ) running mate than Gingrich.
I wouldn’t want Santorum to be Romney’s running mate either. Both men have negatives which is the last thing you want in a running mate. There are lots of great VP candidates (I wish 1 of them had run for President instead) it would foolish to choose any vanquished primary challenger (including Perry). The mere fact that they lost to Romney would prove their lack of appeal.
As for voting for Romney in the general, I’m aware Romney might be a RINO disaster like Bush but I want that piece of crap Obama gone, hearing his concession speech is one of my top fantasies and the only one that is likely to occur ( ;) ). Scalia is not a young man. A bad Republican might screw up a court nomination, Obama WOULD appoint a 45 year old Leninist and a Republican Senate would probably buckle under and confirm them.
I don’t think Romney is a liberal so much as I think he has no principles whatsoever.
In any case we can still stop him from getting the nomination but time is running out, there’s one conservative who can stop him and his name isn’t Newt.
