CDC estimates 1.2 million Americans are infected, and that 20 percent of them don’t know it. While the study found unexpectedly high rates of infection, the findings would not affect overall estimates about how many people are infected, Flexner said.
And 66 percent of the women newly infected each year are black, even though African-American women represent only 14 percent of the U.S. female population. “Nearly one in 30 black women will become infected with HIV in her lifetime,” the CDC says.

“Most of these women were not active injection-drug users. The vast majority were heterosexual.”
A stupid thing to say, since a heterosexual woman is more like to get HIV than a homosexual one - with other factors being equal.
Researchers are STUNED, I tell ya.
These types of reports all tell similar stories.
But all stop short of identifying the real problem and the real solution, because it’s quite un-PC.

Clearly, they need more birth control pills or, better yet, IUDs. That will surely save these women.
An exclusively homosexual women probably has zero chance of HIV infection. A normal hetrosexual women has a low chance of infection. A women who allows some creep to do anal sex to her has a much higher chance of infection just like in the male homosexual community.
Rear end sex causes more damage and chance of cross infection. That is one of many things the media doesn’t talk about.

Several years ago, I was involved in a very minor accident in which I and another person were cut by the same sharp object. I went through months of testing and waiting (and taking coconut oil, glyceryl monolaurate, and BHT), before I got the all clear for HIV and a few other bloodborne things.
Being a scientist, naturally I read up on the various transmission probabilities (there wasn't a study on fishing accidents....) Anyway, ANAL "sex" was more than an order of magnitude higher than the next act. Really -- end sodomy, and the other methods of HIV transmission are probably not efficient nough to keep the epidemic going.
The inescapable conclusion is that anal sex is rife in the black community. That's why so many of their women are getting it. There's only one answer: repent.

They won’t ask the most obvious question....how many were engaging in anal sex??? This according to at least some researchers is why the homosexual community is so hard hit and why the African nations are too. It is (at least in Africa) a common form of ‘birth control’
At the time Obamacare was being pushed through I went to the CDC's website to look at the disease by race breakdown. Blacks, and Hispanics, have higher rates of most diseases than do whites. Blacks are <14% of the population but accounted for 43% of ALL American AIDS cases. The higher rates of diseases in blacks and Hispanics is, IMHO, the reason for Obamacare. So many poor people with diseases that cost a whole lot of money to treat was breaking the bank. The government needed to get all the healthy middle and high income people to pay for their treatment. We're not permitted a say on how people conduct their lives, but they sure want us held responsible to pay for their mistakes.

Disturbing article. One would think we are going to see an explosion in pediatric AIDS cases as these infected women have children and pass the virus on to their babies.
