I think the bigger questions are about what can be done without -their- substantive consent, where they cannot possibly understand the whole situation. That gets into some tricky ground.

I don’t understand why parents wouldn’t have to be involved, of course. I kinda’ jumped over that and was going for a different point. It doesn’t make any sense that parents would be left out.

"Australian children to be sterilized without parental consent under new eugenics law"

You missed addressing both the title and subject of the article. There's nothing "tricky" about this issue, nor is there a "bigger" issue than this, imho.

Possibly this article should be posted for all to discuss:

American Psychiatric Associations New Diagnostic Mental Health Manuel Makes Normal Human Emotion a Mental Health Disorder

http://theintelhub.com/2012/02/13/american-psychiatric-associations-new-diagnostic-mental-health-manuel-makes-normal-human-emotion-a-mental-health-disorder/

A disturbing situation is brewing and if we all don’t act now we may find our daily lives must include a form of neuroleptic drugs. This according to the new DSM-5.

DSM-5 link http://uk.reuters.com/article/2012/02/09/uk-mental-illness-diagnosis-idUKTRE81825O20120209

Another change in the manual puts normal emotions and reactions we display at risk of being interpreted as a mental health disorder. Grieving for a loved one is now to be evaluated by the emotions displayed and not by the underlying reason for those emotions.

In essence only our tears, heartache, grief and loss are to be evaluated minus the under lying reason for those feelings, the loss of a loved one. Therefor placing the natural grief process into a neat little mental health disorder that is to be treated with drugs.

Please, educate yourself on this issue. Read about the changes to the new DSM here and here and sign the petition to stop the madness.
