The very first show that I went to as a kid..GNR. Pothead uncle bought the tickets while he was dancing to Mr. Brownstone and his girl. ;)

This ought to be interesting if for no other reasons than A: seeing if Axl can find the place and be there on time, and B: if he and Slash can make it through - if not
to - a performance without trying to beat the hell out of each other. I also wonder if Rose won't pull a stunt like trying to bring Buckethead or Bumblefoot onstage with him. And will Gilby Clarke or Matt Sorum show up? Does Axl still weigh 275 pound now? The dude has had an extra plate or three of buffalo wings in the last year or so:
Inquiring minds want to know.
"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."

Does the laughingstock Rock and Roll “Hall of fame” still have the “Rob Argent” exhibit?

AWESOME!!!! (GNR was my first ever favorite band)
I’m afraid Axl has lost a bit more than a step over the years though. lol

I'm surprised the originals are still alive.
I had some co-workers who were heavily into GNR back then. I remember they had a song about killing the girl friend and burying her in the back yard.
I liked hardcore rock, but that was a bit too much for me.

Cool. I had the pleasure of seeing the infamous show where Duff got whacked in the head with a beer bottle full of piss. They cancelled the show only 30 minutes or so into the set. I never appreciated GnR until The Spaghetti Incident came out with One In A Million. Then I realized they had talent and weren’t just riding off the popularity of Appetite For Destruction
Asking crap LA metal like so many others were then.

They have one good album, and people want to put them in the Hall of Fame? Really?
These guys have been at it a lot longer and still put out great stuff. They don't get a bid at all? Huh?
