“Fidel Castro declared that a robot would do a better job as president than Barack Obama. After hearing this, Mitt Romney thanked Castro for his endorsement.” – Conan O’Brien

“Mitt Romney says he understands the middle class, and that he knows it’s not easy keeping a roof over your family’s heads — as well as vacation roofs in San Diego, New Hampshire, and Park City, Utah.” – Jay Leno

“When Rick Perry heard that, he said, ‘Well that’s nothing. I like to execute people.’” – David Letterman

“Mitt Romney is saying his comments about liking to fire people were taken out of context. Yeah, what he actually said was he likes to set poor people on fire.” – Conan O’Brien

“I came up with a great slogan for Romney. “It’s time to Mitt or get off the pot.” – Jimmy Kimmel

“Mitt Romney had a huge lead going into the primary. It would’ve taken a miraculous, divinely-inspired comeback for anyone to defeat him. So let me be the first to say congratulations, President Tim Tebow.” – Craig Ferguson

“You know the difference between Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry, and Tim Tebow? When God tells Tim Tebow to run, he wins.” – Jay Leno

“The New Hampshire primary is a tough one for the candidates who don’t do well because this is the night when many of them realize, ‘I served all those people pancakes for nothing.’” – Jimmy Kimmel

“Newt Gingrich thinks he’s the man for the job. He got an important endorsement from Sarah Palin’s husband, Todd. He has the all-important ‘snowmobilers who wear sunglasses indoors’ demographic.” – Jimmy Kimmel

“During the debates I drank a shot every time I heard the word ‘contraception.’ I was more wasted than a contribution to Jon Huntsman.” – Stephen Colbert

Counting..I guess Romney jokes are more in "fashion". But some of the other candidates got their share too.

Romney did share a joke of his own:
"I've been looking at some video clips on YouTube of President Obama, then-candidate Obama, going through Iowa, making promises."
"I think the gap between his promises and his performance is the largest I've seen, well, since the Kardashian wedding and the promise of until death do we part."

Found the related source of the above source itself:

"Ron Paul finished second. ... Paul says if he can sustain those kind of numbers ... and if his message continues to resonate ... and if Mitt Romney gets hit with a dump truck, he could still win this thing." –Jimmy Kimmel

My wife likes to watch Letterman. I heard his monologue the other night, and not only was it not very humorous, it was as if the DNC wrote it. Attack after attack on Republicans.

Letterman is a bitter old leftie, and he hasn’t been funny for 20 years.

Letterman is a useful Tool.

Imus said the other day that Leno should retire...and Newt had turned to wearing a mask and carrying a chain saw.

Jimmy Kimmel seems to be a favorite.

And Stephen Colbert said : “I’m exploring right now” like in the 2008 presidential race.

Mockery is an element of humor which is
“used harshly, often crudely and contemptuously, for destructive purposes” in wikipedia.

Humor used as propaganda to exaggerate stereotypes etc, in the past, was not used so much in wartime, as it was in peacetime; whereas it was considered very important. However German propaganda was extremely important to the course of World War II. By taking control of the media, only printing or broadcasting Nazi material, and the Reich was able to effectively flood Germany with its propaganda.

Beck did this interview with Andy Andrews author of How Do You Kill 11 Million People. [no joke]

Through the lens of the Holocaust, the author examined how Hitler was able to get eleven million people to march to their deaths with so little resistance. In short, he lied to them, they believed it...and it becomes Deadly Propaganda.

“Letterman is a useful tool.” - like a screwdriver for pounding nails.
