Former House member, Senatorial candidate and Phoenix radio/TV broadcaster Hayworth is tackling the 9am-noon time period at Cumulus Media's conservative talk KSFO. He jokes that "As a 'recovering' Congressman, I'll 'pull back the curtains' and explain why politicians do the things they do." The syndicated Rush Limbaugh is now across the street, at Clear Channel-owned "Newstalk 910." Effective today, 910 is changing call letters from KNEW to KKSF, sharing the calls (but not programming) with sister oldies KKSF-FM (103.7). Clear Channel is shifting the KNEW calls up to its 960, the former "Green 960" KKGN
On the KSFO web site said they renewed the Limbaugh contract in September.
Anyone know what really happened?
One report was that KSFO decided they just couldn’t afford Limbaugh any longer.
Another report was that Limbaugh’s ratings were so low they were losing dollars.
I am just glad I have 24/7.
He’s a good host.

Don’t know but Rush is syndicated by Clear Channel’s Premiere division and they have been known to take Rush from another station to their own, even if their own has a worse signal.
In Boston Rush and other Premiere shows like Beck and Coast to Coast were on Entercom’s WRKO but they got pulled and sent to the “new” WXKS Talk 1200 (known for a time as Rush Radio)
So maybe Clr Chnl made the decision

So what happens to Officer Vic?
They got rid of officer Vic to bring in Melanie..Over on the KSFO facebook page everybody is fuming, as of 9am have not listened to KSFO and probably never will again.
Officer Vic should get his own show. He is far more inventive than any of the others.
He should but radio is getting all messed up in the bay area..
I listened to Rush on his new channel 910am and thought this must be the new conservative channel until finding Alan Colmes is on at 7pm..
What idiot would think of putting Rush on the same channel as Colmes?

—Brilliant move...KSFO is becoming the radio version of KRON4. Used to be a Bay Area powerhouse, now an irrelevant after thought with its only focus on pinching pennies vs. garnering the highest ratings.

—Moving Rush to 910 may have been the best move though. KSFO has never had a very powerful signal and their odd antenna directions are left overs from the ADF flying days. KNEW 910 is now a preset on my truck radio where KSFO was. Replacing OV? Another bad move.
—You guys dumped Lee Rodgers (under Citadel) and now under Cumulus you have dumped both Officer Vic and Rush Limbaugh. Are you trying to go down to the level of absurdity and irrelevance?
I have been posting on FB venting about the change ...have only seen one positive post about the change but i suspect she is a troll..
From what i read KSFO might not have had a say in the matter.

Whoa... gettin’ old here. I still think of 910 as KEWB, home of Don Bowman and the real Don Steele. Guess it’s been a while..
I totally agree. When Rodgers and Morgan were still on with him, I could take Morgan without Rodgers or vice versa, but if Vic wasn't on, it wasn't worth listening. The best combo was Rodgers and Vic. When Sussman replaced Rodgers, he relagated Vic to just being an occasional straight man, and doing the traffic. I can't stand Sussman and his weekend recaps. Who gives a rat's tush?

When cranky Lee and OV worked together they were
great. Rodgers had a knack for setting up great
schtick for Vic to hit out of the park and Rodgers
could be pretty damnned humorous too. They were especial-
ly funny bantering back and forth w/Melanie. But OV’s
talent went wasted with Sussman because Brian is
just not a very funny dude and it is his show to
squander.
If Officer Vic lands another gig I hope to hear about
it ASAP because I’ll be there.
Today KSFO removed from my XM presets in the car and replaced with KNEW. Brian Sussman has started to become shrill and full of himself and the addition of Melanie Morgan makes the show completely unlistenable. I can get Hannity and Levin on XM Patriot.
