Word For The Day, Tuesday, January 3, 2012
In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
fusty{FUHS-tee}
-adj
1. Having a stale smell; moldy; musty.
2. Old-fashioned or out-of-date, as architecture, furnishings, or the like.
3. Stubbornly conservative or old-fashioned; fogyish.
[Fusty comes from the Old French word fust, meaning a wine cask. As wine casks are stuffy and smelly, the adjective is a logical association.].

He still has both eyes, but one of them is now defective. And he drives better than a lot of them. Not easy to back into the station, but he does it perfectly, plus a smooth ride on the roads. Can’t explain it, but I have no complaints.

Mittens garnered the same %, but lost 5k votes....(17% of his 2008 total.)
Yet we race towards the tipping point.

i just had the only other conservative in my ofc in here railing against the Ron Paul showing in Iowa. She’s the paralegal and a Pittsburgher. We are a clandestine conservative cell.
