THAT would be nice. ;>)
Is that melodrama? Is that an overstatement? Is that just Chicken Little crying that the sky is falling? No, it is not. It is reality.

Newt is the answer.
Only a person who, like Ronald Reagan, has, on his own, intensely studied the ideas of liberty, as articulated by the founders, embraced them as being "self-evident" truths endowed by the Creator, is capable of leading America back from the brink of becoming just another failed nation, despite its noble birth in the minds of a noble generation.
This writer has summarized well the reasons why, it seems, Newt Gingrich, historian and author of "Rediscovering God in America," may be just the person whose gifts may help new generations rediscover the ideas of liberty and reject the counterfeit ideas of tyranny which threaten their futures.
Coincidentally, if he gets them started, technology has made it possible for them to prove whether his directions are valid. All they need to do is click the mouse on their computer, and read the Founders' writings, documents and speeches, as well as the seedbed of ideas which preceded them.
As Christians we should be able to discern between someone who has sinned, recognized it and repented versus someone who is committed to sinning and protects it by hiding and justifying it.
Liberals assume there is no difference and that we see no difference.
And Clinton got impeached under the feminist dominance (DNC dominance) of society where men were drilled and persecuted for any degree of personal interaction or flirting with a woman in the office. While that is going on and harming a lot of people, complete with sexual reeducation of men and systematic discrimination against them in employment, Clinton was using an intern for blow jobs.
In addition, he was impeached for commiting perjury in a legal case. He should have been removed from office and had he been, we would not have such a corrupt government today. Obammy would have been too afraid to run guns to cartels and pass on money to his friends when he got into office; but now he knows, anything goes. They all do.
Very Good article. I will copy this for future reference.
Forgiveness is the single most important issue in the life of a believer.
Jesus forgave and remembers no more, as far as the East is from the West, all of our sin.
We are to be LIKE HIM.
What an interesting insight.
So much thoughtful analysis worth reading in its entirety.
I found these paragraphs worth repeating here:
“Allow me to ratchet up a bit. I have spent more time with Mr. Gingrich on this issue than 99.9% of the people who will read this email. I have dealt with people with moral failures, sins and mistakes since 1969, when I accepted my first job as a (youth) pastor, 42 years ago. I am not a novice at dealing with people needing to walk from unrighteousness to uprightness. Out of respect for confidentiality, I will not reveal more about my conversations with Mr. Gingrich. But I need to make a summary statement on this: At the risk of being misunderstood, I would suggest that I am in a better (pastoral and otherwise) position to evaluate his present status than most. I have grown weary of long distance attackers who have not invested any time with him privately on these issues, yet who consider themselves to be self-appointed experts on his actual spiritual condition. They need to know his heart, and they badly need a fundamental course in hamartiology (the doctrine of sin) and soteriology (doctrine of salvation).”
“In my evaluating his present spiritual status, I made an unusual request of Mr. Gingrich. I asked him if I could worship with him at his church, the Basilica, in Washington, DC. I am an avowed Protestant evangelical. Mr. Gingrich worships in a Catholic Church. Our worship preferences are substantially different. But we worship the same God Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Why did I want to worship with him at his church? You can learn much about a person when you worship with them. You can, if you are spiritually attuned, sense much. I observed him in this tender environment.”
We are past the point that politics alone can reverse the tide. This battle has to be fought and won simultaneously on the moral and spiritual plain otherwise we are fighting a battle that has already been lost.
This war is moral and spiritual before it is political. Lose the moral order and it no longer matters who wins what election.
It doesn't matter much what the constitution says if the people who interpret it, and the people who elect them, have lost their souls and can no longer understand the spirit behind the written words.
That said, I agree with Garlow's piece. Almost word for word.
Not only does this article debunk many of the myths which seem to have the shelf life of a hardy virus but it undertakes a serious analysis of the psychological and spiritual man which should be reassuring serious conservatives who are concerned about Gingrich's past dualities of private character and public policy. We each have to make our own judgment, of course, but it is of use that we have a pastor intimately familiar with the naked soul of Newt Gingrich who applies serious and manifestly discerning analysis to the subject.
Excellent point!
I have linked your post to a much “hotter” thread on Free Republic. What you posted that this pastor said about New Gingrich and his repentance needs to get much more attention.
If Christian conservatives don't quickly unite, we're going to end up with either President Romney or President Obama. That simply cannot be allowed to happen if we can do anything about it.
Mark for later.
