I thought of the same thing.
To Jim Robinson:
Jim, can you tell us how our identifies are protected from government surveillance, especially when we use Credit Cards for our contributions?

That’s a very interesting post. I don’t understand what it has to do with the article at hand but it really is very interesting.

I have always felt the government keeps its eyes on web sites like FR. They want to know who to zero in on when the time comes. Especially the dimocrats and their leftist commie friends. Every post here goes on to that big google cache in the sky and all are saved to review later. We all know they can track where you are posting from. We call it free speech as long as we are not advocating over throwing the government, under the law we are fine. HOWEVER, when the time comes, they will simply change the laws to be what they want them to be and charge you now for what you said 10 years ago. I don't believe for a minute that America is the same country I was born into over 60 years ago. Not for a minute.

The same reason ICE (not yet a totally tarnished acronym) is loaning out drones to domestic SWAT teams.
Following 9/11 America chose to exchange security for freedom. ICE, ATF, FBI, TSA, etc. all are under the umbrella of Homeland Security, /aka/ the new American gestapo.
Just like 1936, most of the worker bees don’t have a clue about the goals of the leadership. The draconian abridgment of the Constitution will be punctuated by the opportunities afforded through crisis, real or manufactured. This is indeed the new face of the Civil Army that Obozo threatened America with when he took office.

The article doesn’t say what court this is in. It refers to a court, a judge, a case and a docket, but no specifics, except the name of one lawyer.

I’d assume it’s in a federal court, but where, in DC/NY/CA? Do you know where is this going on?

After all any “Republican” nominee would never do anything in secret against our Constitution. /sarc

How may “Republicans” in the Senate recently voted against indefinitely holding American citizens by the military? I think that number was a whopping FIVE!

If our Constitution was meant to control government, then government outside of the constitutional controls is an out of control government.

Choose wisely...

This story illustrates what the Founding Fathers knew and tried to block with the Constitution. This is why folks now look at the Constitution and say, "Hey, this can't be all there is to it because it would rule out most of the federal government." The Founding Fathers knew that without strict adherence to the Constitution this would be the result:

The U.S. Federal Government: Public Enemy #1

Sadly, We the People, have blindly given ourselves, body and sould to the government to do with what they wish. It’s only a matter of time when our last freedoms is taken away.

This situation was feared from the very beginning of the Republic: U.S. Federal Government: Public Enemy #1

The American Revolution was fought over abuses that were minor in extent and scope compared to what the U.S. Federal Government imposes each and every day.

why is ICE involved in enforcing this?

Because it's easier to do this instead of finding terrorists that want to kill us?

And therein lies one of the problems inherent in our legal system: The court and the prosecution get paid by the same paymaster.

Of course if you go private, the decision risks going in favor of the highest bidder..........so,

it’s a problem

ICE had to find some reason to justify it’s existence since it no longer seems to be enforcing immigration laws.

I think in the old daze that criminal complaints could be brought by private individuals. Not so much now. Of course, selective enforcement is de facto dictatorship.
