Thanks for the ping.
I wonder if the Dog views the Orangutan as a human or an Orangutan?
Wonderful to watch.

Hmmmm.....Is this the only critter that the orangutan interacts with?? That’s what makes this kinda look like a setup...where’s everyone else??

Take back like last post and replace with...”Just one amazing world!!”

That is pretty sweet. They look like friends for life.

This reminds me of the video I saw of Koko the gorilla and her pet kitten. It showed Koko knuckle walking over to the kitty’s bowl with a bag of cat food grasped under one hairy arm. The kitten did that thing cats do - thread between your striding legs in a way that almost makes you fall on your face. I seriously believed that the cat couldn’t tell the difference between the gorilla and the humans - we all look the same to them???? So with this dog - is he thinking this is a red haired short human who works out alot? I mean, it’s a LITTLE embarrassing to think that to our pets, we are indistinguishable from exotic animals we keep in zoos - and yet...some irony remains.

Yes, I remember hearing about Koko and her kitten. She was the gorilla that could sign, right? I think the cat died and she got depressed so they had to get her another one.

Ha, ha. I just adopted a chest cat on Thursday so I can sympathize. None of the other ones do that, but this one is a lover.

LOL! He is my Rocket, and he has chronic renal failure, but we've been nursing him along for nearly two
years now. His numbers are going up slowly, but they're not too far into the red yet. He's at least 17 years
old, so we're hoping old age gets him before the kidney failure. And you're right, he is a lovey boy.
If you look in the encyclopedia under "spoiled" you will find this picture:

Ah, cute kitty on the “grooming table”! I hope he can go for many more months. So sad when they become senior kitties and start to break down. My kitties aren’t in the senior category yet—my Alfie is getting there—he’s 11, but my mom has had a couple make it to 19. One of those was actually 19.5 and some others to 18, 17, and 16. I think it was the kidneys on most of them that started to go out.

Here is Tiger as a 2-year-old. She lived to be 19-1/2. ~ August 1982 - February 15, 2002.
She was a stray, and when we took her in, she would eat anything that didn't eat her. She got really tubby, and we
used to call her "Little Rotunda," but she shed the weight naturally when she wasn't in a panic for her next meal
because she could count on us to feed her on schedule.
This picture was taken just a few weeks before she died:
She sat there like that in the hallway for quite some time. I took several pictures of her since I loved the composition,
and I was aware that I would cherish the image as a memento.

Beautiful cat. You're not going to believe this, but my mom's cat Ginger (a cat I actually acquired as a youngster) was born in the early summer of 1982 and lived until late 2001/early 2002. I remember when she was put down because I was pregnant with my second and had to go for an ultrasound soon after. She was the one that was 19.5 Her name was Ginger, but I called her Bijoux. She didn't really look like your cat, but she was kind of a calico/tabby like yours. I probably don't have any pics of her on my computer, but I will try to find one at my mom's and post it.
Well how nice for you and her that she was a stray and lived to such a ripe old age.
To: beaversmom
Indeed. She was very ill when we took her in, and it was touch and go there for a while, but the vet finally figured out what was wrong and fixed her right up.
We never thought that she would live so long. She is our longest-lived cat, and not likely to lose the title to my Rocket, but perhaps Lucas Prince of Darkness (a disgustingly healthy 12 years old [smiles]) will give her a run for the money.
