Attorney General Eric Holder sat down on a dark-stained wood chair and slouched over table in front of a microphone. He’d come into the U.S. House of Representatives Judiciary Committee hearing room on Thursday with a staff. He was suddenly by himself at a large table set before the 38-member committee seated behind two rows of courtroom-style benches.
For nearly a year Holder has been avoiding accountability for Operation Fast and Furious, a secret ATF program that allowed guns to “walk” into Mexico and right into the arsenals of Mexican drug cartels. Nevertheless, he still looked shocked when a congressman insinuated he might be impeached.

I've changed my mind. Holder should stay and weigh the administration down like the rock of Gibralter. His responses were arrogant, pointless, full of misdirection, and useless in any way in answering the questions axed.
BTW, is John Conyers even coherent? Is Sheila Jackson Lee anything but an unintelligent POS?
Personally, I think he should go, but that Issa et al should continue to drag this out for awhile, so it is not a forgotten issue and Holder long gone at election time next year. If the SHTF in about July/August in exposure of the corruption and dishonesty involved at all levels on this issue, it could be helpful to the GOP.
It’s obvious Holder is protecting someone. His statements about not being informed of the “tactical nature” or details of the criminal enterprise as being an excuse to say he did not know about the program is ridiculous. Nobody seemed to pick up on the escape from perjury he was constructing for himself! He can claim the line is fuzzy between the title of the operation which he may have heard of, but yet knew none of the “Tactical” details, so he could claim that he did not know about the program. That is different than having heard about it or been briefed in a summary.
Holder is hiding behind the Inspector General, won’t allow his e-mails to be seen by anybody until the IG is done with them. And now we know why Obama was so sure to illegally fire IG’s who would actually do their job (such as Gerald Walpin). IG’s don’t get impeached.
Holder is there to make sure law enforcement won’t prosecute crimes, and just in case Congress tries to do anything about the crimes committed by the lawless Obama administration, they’re got cherry-picked IG’s to hide behind. This is a very systematic disabling of the rule of law.
The POTUS is the enforcement branch of the government; no other branch of government makes any difference if what they decide is not enforced by the executive branch. The Constitution provides checks and balances, but the Obama Administration is playing political “chicken” on the impeachment angle and is also disabling the impeachment angle by farming out the actual implementation of nearly everything to appointees (such as the “czars”) who are not accountable to Congress AND THUS HAVE NO CHECKS AND BALANCES.
Sensenbrenner had it right, that if Congress allows this garbage, then there is nothing to keep this from happening all the time. The very rule of law is at stake.
And our chicken Congress-critters need to learn that the confirmation of executive appointees is not a political charade; it may well be the only thing standing between this country and anarchy.
Lindsey Graham may think it is so great to do unto the appointee as we would want done to us, but for every appointee who wants to be approved there are millions of Americans who want an appointee who will NOT screw them with a mocking laugh.
To enable a criminal is NOT “gracious”. It is criminal. And people like Lindsey Graham need to take seriously the need for real accountability. Lindsey Graham will probably never be able to fathom it, but I would WANT somebody to keep me from destroying millions of lives. If I was a threat to others I would WANT to be grilled and probed so that reality came to light before I actually hurt anybody. And the only people who would say otherwise are people who actually INTEND to hurt others - IOW, criminals.
IOW, the only people who would NOT want serious accountability are criminals. By not providing serious accountability, Graham is only practicing the “Golden Rule” on one class of people: criminals. While screwing the millions who actually DO want the rule of law.
A special prosecutor is needed for everyone involved in this criminal conspiracy. The combination of a continuous House investigation and a special prosecutor should be able to shake a few apples from this rotten tree.
