See, now if this were any other republican(one of the conservatives, especially) the story would be everywhere. Front page for three days on every newspaper, the subject of controversy on every opinion show and newscast for 4-5 days. Non-stop caterwauling and debate, and, well, it would be a Palinization. It would be a Caining.
But not now. Not during the primaries. The media need Romney. But *AFTER* the primaries, that's when the big guns come out. During the primaries, the big guns are pointed in every other direction except Romney. He's their chosen candidate. Here's a video of Romney discussing this:

The media's not afraid to dig up old stuff! Look at what they're doing to Newt.(I'm not defending Newt, I'm saying) They'll happily dug up old stuff against Mitt too, should he get the nomination. They've proven that they're more than capable and more than willing to do so.
Every day will be an october surprise from the nomination acceptance until november.
Of course. The media always relentlessly attacks any Republican who seems to exhibit some strength. Conversely, the media lays off any Republican who could be destroyed with minimal effort (after the nomination). Dole, McCain, Romney — these are dream candidates for the leftwing media.

I don’t think there will be much of an attack. All the media has to do is accurately report what Romney says and does and he’ll lose when conservatives refuse to vote for another Obama.
The media won’t have to do a damn thing if Romney is the nominee.
He won’t be elected, he’s a proven loser, he could not even defeat John McQueeg.

What will make things easier for Obama is Romney will cause a conservative to run on an independent ticket (remember the damage done by Ross Perot?)
This all fits exactly with the wants and needs of the media.
He's a capital management CEO like Warren Buffett. He's a successful business man like Bloomberg and oops... Corzine. He's a Mormon, like Harry Reid. But ...he's an (R)! That will be enough.
Maybe they'll just pay a couple of bimbos to tell some lies like the ones that came out against Cain and disappeared IMMEDIATELY.
Oh well, there's a long primary season ahead and we still don't know who the media will pick for us, so it's hardly worth worrying about.
We need Conservatives at EVERY level, to get back to what the Framers intended.
They do it every election, and every election these “chosen” candidates manage to convince themselves that the MSM loves them — and are stupidly surprised when they get the nomination and suddenly the knives come out.
They have plenty on both Mitt and Newt. And, frankly speaking, what they have on Newt may be far worse than anyone has even contemplated yet. No, I don’t have anything solid to post on that line, but I have a very strong gut feeling.
If either of those two get the nomination, we’re screwed.
Romney is unelectable because he’s a blur-the- differences Establishment RINO like McCain and Dole.
If Romney is the Gop guy all we will hear about is the Masons, magic underwear and Willard.
Mitt will cause a GOP split.
The media will jump omn that.
I will never vote for him.
