I am surprised that Savage’s listenership has increased, considering the number of guest hosts and encore segments he has had recently.

I am sort of surprised that Levin’s numbers have gone down some. Although, sometimes he does bulldog a topic for days which makes him sound like a broken record.

I'm thinking of posting a thread for Houston's Michael Berry, ClearChannel's 950AM here, opposite Sean Hannity on their other AM Channel 740AM.

Freepers would love him, he's smart and funny and has a black character he calls Shirley Q Liquor doing parodies that is fall out of your chair funny.

He is also Queen Sheila Jackson Lee's worst nightmare.

I listen to talk radio quite a bit. Mostly Rush and Hannity. But I am very selective with regard to when I listen.

For both Rush and Hannity you can actually get "talk radio" from 7 minutes after the hour to about 20-22 minutes after the hour. That 15 minute stretch of "opening dialogue" represents about 1/2 of each hours "talk radio". The other 15 minutes is spread out over the 45 minutes from 22 after the hour to 7 minutes after the following hour. Not worth it for me. I turn it off.

Bottom line. Too many commercials. Too much news and weather. Too many sigalerts. Too much junk.
