I'm referring to the Savage Nation.... What happened lately ? Why is Savage destroying his own show ?? Why is he away every second day ?? Its sad to see how the 3d top rated radio show exploding from within!!

Here is a list of stations Savage was recently dropped from.

WSB Atlanta

WIND Chicago

KLIF Dallas-Ft Ward

WOKV Jacksonville

KTTH Seattle

KFYI Phoenix

WTMJ Milwaukee

Savage is not cleared in 7 of the top 10 markets!! Savage must be proud he will be retirement soon.

I think his writing career has taken up the time he used to give to his radio audience.

Though clearly intelligent and quite coherent on any number of issues, he’s a weiner.

Maybe Savage is just tired. By the way, Dr. Laura either already has, or is soon scheduled to retire.

These pioneers of talk radio will eventually retire or die. There seems to be lots of young talent. Mark Steyn is one.

Savage for all his bravado and pontifications is multi-talented and highly intelligent. I miss his show on KLIF.
Really have enjoyed many of his shows and at other times I gotta turn him off but thats alright with me. Savage is a gem overall.

I stopped listening to Michael Savage in 2006 when he made the maximum contribution allowed by law to Democrat Jerry Brown, who was running for state attorney general in California against Senator Chuck Poochigian (R-Fresno) a solid conservative.

Haha, pretty grabbing headline you got there, well I feel your pain but Savage ain't getting any younger and has threatened retirement many times already. But cheer up infidel, it's not over with yet, after all Savage is still on in most of those markets
WGST----Atlanta
WJJG----Chicago
KFXR----Dallas
WBOB----Jacksonville
KFNX----Phoenix
WTMJ----Milwaukee still lists Savage on their broadcast schedule

Thanks to TheJogger for the ping. I have said before that I think Doc S. is doing a slow motion retirement. If he would drop back to 2 hours per show, I think he would do better.

Yeah yeah... WGST is pretty much non existent after sunset, WJJG does not even show up in any Chicago ratings book. WTMJ may not have their website updated yet, KFNX is not KFYI, most listeners don’t switch to third tier stations.

Losing mighty 50k watts clear channel non directional stations like WSB/WOKV to small stations like WGST/WBOB is a big big lose .

This TRN link is so misleading i don’t even know where to begin. They brag about being aired on 42 affiliates in the top 50 markets when the 8 missing markets is in the top 10 markets LOL!! And they say he Savage added WGST in Atlanta and KFNX in Phoenix, when he was really dropped from WSB/KFYI both stations that carried Savage the last 7 years!!

A pretty desperate report indeed.

Maybe Savage is trying to get out of his contract. I haven’t been following Savage a lot.

Wbob in Jacksonville picked up Savage when Wokv dropped the show so loss as far as that goes. It would only be fair to list the stations that picked him up also.

I will go out on a limb and say the stations that dropped him did it because of his views not due his number of absences.

Yes he has been out a lot lately but he did tell a caller that he was dealing with a health issue.
