My Icelandic is very weak. I lived there 94-99, we still have friends there and hope to return for a visit someday. BEAUTIFUL country, and great people.
I just did a google translate. The actual snippet in my post is Old Norse, old Norwegian, which is old Icelandic, as I am sure you know. They say folks in Iceland can read the sagas, as Icelandic is very little changed from Old Norse. I knew a couple of girls from Iceland who worked for Iceland Air (when it was still called something like Lofðleiðir) back when I was growing up in Queens.
