Drama all around.
That’s fascinating!
A very dramatic night for baseball, was switching between the ESPN game with the yanks and rays and MASN for the O’s and Sox. Managed to see both endings. Really wild stuff.
Freegards
St. Louis Cardinals complete the biggest comeback (from the 130 game mark of the season), in MLB history.
Go Cards!
I can’t disagree with this one. Bunny/Pancake
It may not be an exaggeration to say that tonight was the single greatest night in MLB history in terms of all-around drama. So many incredible story lines, it will be almost impossible for the playoffs to top this.
Great!!! Atlanta and The Red Sox are gone
Hopefully the Phills and Skanks are next
The Phills will be like the 1990s Braves, win the division and choke in the post season, though at least the Brave’s World Series win in 1995 was legitimate, unlike the Phills who had to play tricks with rain delays to win theirs
I would not be totally shocked if the WS is Tampa vs St Louis, Wild Card teams do very well in the post-season. Remember last year the Giants barely made it to the post-season.
The long September Red Sox slide ends in a loss to the Orioles, and New York blows a 7 run lead to Tampa Bay. Did the Yankees take a dive for the Rays, the wild card winners to keep the Sox out of the playoffs?
If the Yankees were taking a dive, they wouldn’t have led 7-0.
Also I would think the Yankees would have preferred Boston in the playoffs, rather than the Rays...I know I would have much rather had the Rangers playing Boston than Tampa.
The Braves snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory . . . again.
The Yankees played their Scranton-Wilkes Barre squad tonight.
If Girardi cared about winning, Rivera would have pitched the ninth.
As for the Red Sox collapse, well, that’s just another Festivus miracle.

And idiot liberal, Commissioner Bob Costas, wants to eliminate the Wild Card from MLB.
From the way the Orioles celebrated after scoring the winning run, you would have thought they made the playoffs, kudos to them for playing hard.
Not a good night for the current Boston franchise, nor the former Boston franchise.
Watching the Red Sox go down always brings a smile to my face
Not only did the Spanks blow the 7 run lead tonight, the Yankees blew all three series games against Tampa. ... The pitcher grooves a ball to Longoria so he can send it, but hey I watch the Bo-Sox so what am I to think. ;-)
In any other ballpark that hit is a double.
They could not have done it without a total collapse by the Braves. Congratulations!
