TOKYO ROVE” STRIKES AGAIN
© 2011 by Anthony James

Sour Grapes Karl Just Can’t Help Himself.

As former president Ronald Reagan would say, “There you go again, Karl.”

On Wednesday evening on Greta Van Susteren’s top-rated FOX TV news and talk show, “On The Record,” former Bush political adviser and the man euphemistically referred to as “The Architect” for his alleged contributions to George W. Bush’s winning campaign strategies in 2000 and 2004, Karl Rove just inexplicably and repeatedly soiled himself in front of the American public again and again.

Greta had asked him why he felt it was that the slightest mention of Gov. Sarah Palin set the parallel worlds of political punditry and media mouthpieces into an instant tailspin. In typical nonresponsive politico-speak, Rove completely avoided the question and instead dove into a gratuitous and revealing set of disingenuous canards with the obvious goal of again besmirching the good name of Gov. Sarah Palin.

First, Rove repeatedly referred to the SarahPAC response to media speculation (including my own) that Sarah would use the upcoming September 3rd Tea Party gathering in Iowa as the launchpad for officially announcing her presidential intentions in 2012 directly implying that the response came from Gov. Palin herself, and not from the political action committee which frequently speaks in justifiable defense of her without her explicit awareness, knowledge or approval.

Having erected this disingenuous strawman at which to throw his inane barbs and arrows, Rove went on to state, “If she doesn’t want people speculating about whether or not she’s running, there’s a very simple remedy. She can just come right out and say I’m not “running.”’ Here, again, Rove’s Freudian slip is exposed as he jumped in one sentence from misrepresenting what it was that SarahPAC actually objected to to laying bare his most fervent personal wish. What Sarah pack had objected to was not the media speculating about whether Sarah would run, but that she intended to announce that decision in Iowa two Saturdays from now. Karl’s deceit here was subtle enough to go unnoticed by the casual observer, which I am sure was his despicably calculated intention, but it was all-important nonetheless. His most fervent wish is quite obviously that Sarah would not run for president in 2012.

Having already committed what would be several cardinal sins for any nationally televised political pundit, which is of course blatantly and openly lying in an attempt to deceive the viewing public, Rove then threw caution to the wind and went nuclear with this patently absurd diatribe: “If Palin’s gonna be this thin skinned about something so simple as the media speculating on her candidacy, how can she possibly hope to withstand the pressure of the office of president?” I’m paraphrasing here, but that is distinctly the gist of his most absurd outburst to date.

Thin-skinned? Sarah Palin thin-skinned? Never in the centuries long history of American political discourse has any one political figure been subjected to such vulgar, untruthful, vituperous excoriation as has Sarah Palen on a nonstop weekly basis for the last three years running. She has taken every disgustingly vitriolic and unfair assault upon her person, her family, and even her baby born with Down’s Syndrome, and yet there she stands; strong, smiling, as bright and shining as a new penny. Undefatigable and ineluctable. Look it up.

For this “yesterday’s-news” political hack to call Sarah Palin thin-skinned accomplishes only one purpose, notwithstanding its accomplishment has been long overdue. His entire screed, manufactured out of whole cloth in non-response to a question that was about something completely different was undeniably way out of line, off base, and patently deceitful. But this last uncalled for jab that Sarah Palin establishes only one thing very clearly:

Karl Rove cannot be trusted. He is a deceitful dinosaur who has long outlived his usefulness to the political process, and who has now proven unequivocally that his agenda, however vile, will always trump the far more pressing need for the truth.

The advent of The Tea Party and their improbable and historic victory last November in sweeping over over 70 Republicans into what were previously Democrat-held seats in the House of Representatives proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that the old-school, old guard, old-fashioned political “ experts”like Karl Rove are as tone deaf about, and useless to, the current political process as would be a “Town Crier.” That this would engender in Rove a deep and bitter resentment is perhaps expected, but that it would cause him to so blatantly mislead the American viewing public on a top-rated national news and talk show is a sure sign that his time, and his usefulness, has come and gone.

The American public is completely disgusted with the political process, the Beltway denizens who take them for granted and call them “terrorists” for merely disagreeing, and for trying to lay at the doorstep of the nation’s voters the horrific financial plight that we are in in a despicable attempt to pretend that this blood is on our hands and not theirs, all are emphatic reasons why we need more honesty and candid political discourse, and much less of the vile, deceitful projectile excreta we heard from Karl Rove this evening.

It is precisely this reason, among many others, why Sarah Palin is such a sought after and cherished breath of fresh air in an atmosphere made cloyingly nauseating by the stench of the liars and prostitutes in D.C. who feign a far nobler ambition in the name of American politics.

Even as the sun sets on Karl Rove and his ilk, it rises on Gov. Palin and the promise of the new day that she ushers in with her to an American public absolutely starved for it.

As former President Ronald Reagan also used to say, ”It’s morning in America.”

Mrs. Palin remains mostly quiet…..she is waiting....she (and only she) knows her battle plan....she (and only she) knows her timing.....she is learning....studying the opposition....guarding the "cubs"....waiting quietly with an occasional "roar"…..reconnoitering the challengers and enemies from within and without.....studying weaknesses....building and conserving her own strength....endlessly practicing....reading...honing her skills.....waiting.....waiting…

This war has not yet begun. What has been seen of the other candidates to date has been nothing but minor and irrelevant skirmishing. Candidates in...candidates out....candidates winning....candidates losing.....candidates saying silly things.....candidates saying cogent, insightful things....candidates being personally attacked by the msm (including fox) and the largely irrelevant, faux intelligencia (rove, krauthammer, morris, olberman, matthews, etc)....candidates being dismissed by the msm......candidates attacking one another instead of concentrating on the real issues and enemy.

It is a very, very long way yet to November, 2012. There is no need to rush. Keeping her own council Mrs. Palin smiles knowingly, and trusting in the loyalty of her supporters, remembers the words of Napolean, "Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake." and General Patton, "Our basic plan of operation is to advance and to keep on advancing regardless of whether we have to go over, under, or through the enemy. We are going to go through him like crap through a goose; like shit through a tin horn!"

When she arrives, you can count on total war. She has learned how to fight. She has been through this before.....all the way to election day. She does not spin; she attacks, all the time....constantly; she does not back away from principles; she means exactly what she says....and says exactly what she means. She has built and continues to add to her base of support because of who and what she is....not because of who or what she panders to.

Patience.....patience....

Wait for it!

And keep the faith....

I suspect that when his gig at Fox runs out, we will see him on MSNBC and CNN etc, along with Nicole Wallace, and Karen Hanretty. Hanretty will be joining MSNBC as soon as Governor Palin wins the nomination..

When someone plays the game so far outside the box as does Governor Palin, neither the standard rules, nor polls, apply. Palin historically draws votes two-to-three times greater than her pre-election poll numbers.

Your hyperbole which may or may not create the effect you wish has not gone unnoticed by all, Gorgantua. I hope all the Palin supporters you have intentionally mocked here soon see your pseudo-auspices of your satirically-portrayed Sarah Palin and their affront on conservative politics and conservative voters.

("Palin is announcing on September 3rd in Indianola, Iowa")

By the way, your FR signature, (in italics above) is a dead giveaway too. You may have thought it seemed like a good move using Karl Rove's tactic to make Sarah Palin look bad on September 3, but at least know that some here know that political strategy, and YOU, dear sir, just gave your hand away.

Next thing we know, everyone here might get your line, and you'll be left with nothing but examining the political and social uses of Homer in early modern France at The University of Texas in Austin.

FreeRepublic is a place where we conesrvatives gather to express, share, and debate opinions and news items. You are allowed to express your opinion, as am I.

I understand that you may question the accuracy of my opinion, but you cannot question my right to express it, as that is incontrovertible. My tagline is expressing my opinion. It does not state that I have inside information which makes this opinion factual. It's just my opinion.

If it is in fact your considered opinion that my sub-rosa intent is actually to injur Sarah Palin's chances for election, then you are as far off the mark as is possible within the human experience.

Lest any other armchair sleuth/psychologist/psycho make the same improbable leap from reality that you for some indistinguishable reason have elected to, I have amended my tagline to make even clearer that which is already obvious to all but the most stunningly ignorant among us.

Thank you for reminding me that all FReepers aren't nearly as bright as the vast majority here are.

I have just re-read your insanity, and am struck by the tinfoil-hat absurdity of what you accuse me of. It strikes me that you are likely an institutionalizable fruitcake of the highest order. The two lasting impressions I have from re-reading your numb navel-gazing is to wonder if, when you think no one is looking, do you consume your own waste, and what poor soul is tasked with ensuring that you do not?

Good come back. I give you that. And yes, you have every right to express your opinion whether it is your opinion or a fake one. It’s your right to do that.

I generally appreciate those who see different things and who bring them here for more discussion, analysis, education, and / or understanding. Hidden mockery though... Not nice.

I originally was not even going to respond. I usually don’t respond to those who get on threads late at night and start bashing in a thread, adding last minute post after post after post after post. Many times those are the trolls.

But after seeing the multitude of last minute posts you put on the thread last night, I decided, on a whim, to check out your home page and your recent posts from other threads these last few weeks. Usually I do a simple quick of other’s recent posts because I barely respond to anyone’s comment unless I have a feeling, no matter how simply, of whom I am speaking to, and that includes what they say. This time, I just had an interest in your profile and recent posts because of the frequency of seething remarks you wrote to every single person on that thread who had said something good about Perry or something not as good or even neutral about Palin. (I have noticed all your seething posts about Herman Cain as well.) Therefore, I did click on your homepage and in seeing your many posts overall, one could surmise some intent.

For my response to you, I had considered posting a variety of your posts from other threads to make my point but thought I would simply use the ones from the response you gave me. I thought it would make enough of a point. That was my error. I should have included several other gargantua comments from other posts and threads. But realize my position was NOT from one little thing I read that I could have been written off as a naive voter.

While I would like to see a Rick Perry nomination, I certainly do not appreciate the belittling of Palin supporters here nor do I appreciate a mocking of Sarah Palin.

So feel free to write your points, true or fake, but realize that those of us who are here to root for conservative principles will be watching out for our conservative candidates, whether or not they are the ones we like the best as our future nominee.

"I certainly do not appreciate the belittling of Palin supporters here nor do I appreciate a mocking of Sarah Palin."

If you can, please post one item... just one... where I "mock" Sarah Palin. You're so far away from anything resembling a vestige of reality, even viewed way off on the horizon, I'd be interested, from a purely clinical perspective, to try to grasp what it is that you so misconstrue with such fervent errata.

I reviewed the last dozen or so of your more recent posts, and was not in the least surprised to note that you vascillate between liking Perry and disliking Perry, and also between supporting Perry and support for Palin. Such flights of impulsive fancy are clinically indicated but hardly conclusive.

It would be helpful to my final analysis if you could settle on one item I have ever posted which in any way mocks or denigrates Governor Palin, as well as a brief line explaining how it offends you. If you cannot, I truly understand, as I have never posted any such thing.

Regardless your response or lack thereof, I will not waste your or my time in further colloquy, as my experience with delusionals indicates that there is nothing productive to be gained by providing a platform for the afflicted from which to spew their deranged corrigenda.

Seek help.

You must have missed this one from SarahPAC:

From: http://www.sarahpac.com/posts/setting-the-record-straight-wrong-and-misleading

Any professional pundit claiming to have “inside information” regarding Governor Palin’s personal decision is not only wrong but their comments are specifically intended to mislead the American public.

Since you wrote the article, I assume you are a “professional”. Even Sarah Palin has warned us such claims are “not only wrong but intended to mislead the American public”.

Your signature is a huge beef with me in that, if I am to believe SarahPAC, I am to take those words you are printing as wrong and misleading.

Maybe the change you made in your signature will be enough to count, but I would seriously consider if it is in her best interest to have that there.

From: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAn8gOH8kC8&feature=player_embedded

Mark Levin suggests Karl Rove leaking and promoting the thought that Sarah Palin will announce on September 3 is nothing more than a set up to hurt her.

Hear Mark Levin in the link above.

Mark Levin addresses the fact that if Sarah Palin does not enter the race on that date, Karl Rove has just made her look bad. Add to this that if she DOES on that day, she will now look like she felt she had to or look bad, and that is a compromised position as well.

For you to have the signature which is widely disseminating that idea which Sarah’s voice on SarahPac says is ‘wrong and misleading’ and which inconveniently sets Sarah Palin up for a bad situation regardless of what she does that day, I can’t see how you are helping her any right now.

For the other posts I have commented on, do you know what hyperbole is? If not, please check the dictionary definition, and you’ll see how I see your posts as satirical.

As for my previous posts, yes, I do have both good and not-so-good things I see in both Rick Perry and Sarah Palin. I do not treat either as a cult leader. That is why you probably see me discussing issues EACH of them stand on, good and bad. I have also made it clear I am supporting Rick Perry in this nomination. I would LOVE to see Sarah Palin as the RNC chairman! She always wanted to turn the RNC around, and when we could see her in that position, we would know we have made a real difference in this Republican Party. However, if she were to win the nomination, I would gladly support her. At least I have tried to be clear on my stands which is, why I guess, you DO see me say good things, neutral things, and not-as-good things about BOTH of them. You might try the same. You’ll be amazed how much you start appreciating ALL the wonderful conservatives candidates (the CONSERVATIVE candidates) who, while they may have a different way of doing things sometimes, are all worthy of respect.

I won’t take any more of your or my time now either, but I thought I would answer your questions in the slight chance you really did not know Sarah is having her supporters disregard the Karl-Rove set up September 3 date... and that you actually did care.

You think we believe that you don't know the difference between an online blogger and a "professional political pundit?" Just to be clear, a "professional pundit" is someone like Karl Rove, who is paid by FOX, CBS, NBC, etc., for going on TV and giving their expert political opinions. That isn't even a reachable stretch, Sherlock. Grow up.

Claiming "insider information?" Where did I do that? When did I say I had "insider information?" You're a bad joke on you, not to mention a compulsive liar. Instead of admitting that you are dead wrong, you make up even more crap to try and smear me. You're pathetic.

Save your 5th grade "the dog ate my homework" garbage for someone who doesn't know any better. I knew you couldn't come up with anything, and you didn't.

So stuff it, "Cass" in Virginia. BUSTED.

Rove is "The Architect?"

Narrow wins over a cigar store Indian in 2000 and a total asshat in 2004 is an architect?

A first year Poli-Sci major could have done better!

Rove is exactly why the Tea Party was/is/will be needed for now and forever.

Want to know what kind of architect Rove is?

Imagine a guy with a chisel on the nose of the Sphinx saying, "Just one more tap ought to do it."

A guy saying, "The ground here is good" under the Tower of Pisa.

A White Star Lines spokesman, "The hull of the Titanic can withstand anything nature or man can throw at it."

The co-pilot of the Hindenburg, "I can do this. Piece of cake."

Roy Horn to Siegfried, "Are you sure you fed the tigers? Hold my Pinot and watch this."

Or....Worst of all....

Karl Rove saying, "In my opinion...."

I will gladly give you my apology for not understanding you were not the author of that article AND the poster of that thread.

I believed you had said you had written the article so, you continued, why would I say you are trying to belittle Sarah Palin. What had happened was that I assumed when you said you had written the article, that you had written the ARTICLE.

We do have journalists and bloggers here who write the original articles and then start threads here with their FR screen name. That happens here; authors DO sometimes start threads on their own articles under a FR screen name. I thought that was what you meant.

My apologies for misunderstanding that you only started the thread. It was certainly not any kind of effort to confuse people as to if you are a professional writer or not.

Going from there though, here is a thought. Whether you were the writer or just someone who started a thread here, if Sarah Palin doesn’t want such Karl Rove’s garbage spread, she would not want ANYONE spreading it, professional or not. Again, I apologize I did not understand that when you said you wrote the article that you had just started a thread, but regardless, if she has had to come out and correct it and does not want that anticipatory date being used to hurt her, then why would even a non-professional who claims to support Sarah Palin want to spread that info? SARAH PALIN HERSELF HAS COME OUT TO DISS THAT INFO BECAUSE SHE FEELS IT WILL MAKE HER LOOK BAD. Shouldn’t she expect those who support her to not contribute to Karl Rove’s scheme, whether they are professional or just a plain citizen?

My reply to you yesterday was meant to help as I wanted to give you a chance that maybe you really were a Sarah Palin supporter and just didn’t know what you were doing with your signature. Yesterday’s post to you was offered out of courtesy. I am sorry it was not taken as such.

As for your other questions, I provided the other answers to you quite mildly and with no name calling, just simple answers in the hopes that if you really cared and wanted to look into those things, you could.

Yes, I did supply the links I did to you to provide info in regards to your signature / tag and to clarify what the problem was. In yesterday’s reply, I tried to do that kindly so that you would have that info if you did not already. As for this issue, it doesn’t matter if you’re a professional or not, you were spreading information that it appears Sarah Palin doesn’t want spread. I was giving you the opportunity to be a Sarah Palin supporter by giving you info about your tag / signature. I provided the SarahPAC link and the Mark Levin link for more understanding as to why Sarah would feel it looks so bad. That was simply an offer of information to you.

It is unfortunate that this has become nonsensical name calling and vengeance. My intentions were not meant to take over your life and cause such an outrage and retaliation. I thought that if you really were a Sarah Palin supporter, that you would quickly defend Sarah Palin and consider what you may be doing in those posts I referenced, perhaps feel badly if you misrepresented anything, and perhaps snip back but then going on with your life, but that if you were indeed mocking or purposely advertising incorrect or harmful material, that you would realize people were seeing it and that you might chose to go on somewhere else to do trolling elsewhere, or at least pick up the pieces and go on at least. I had no idea this would become overwhelming as it seems it has, and I will gladly let it drop so that you can just go on without further ado.

As for the info I provided to you in my most recent response to you yesterday, the info was kindly provided with good intentions. You can take the info or leave it be you professional or not. I just wanted to make sure you had it. It’s your choice now what you do with that information.

I hope I have now provided enough additional insight as to why yesterday’s info was important to share with you and also provided enough venting time for the anger my first response provoked, but if you need to throw some things around some more, I’m OK with it. Either you’re a troll hiding your cover, or an angry person who needs to vent. If it’s the first, consider yourself lucky I have given you this much time and leeway to spew the last insults. If it’s the latter, I’ll gladly listen if it helps.

Best wishes to you.

Hey, guess what??

Obama has defunded our military by half a trillion dollars then infected it with the gay culture.

He's crippling the oil industry thru the EPA.

He just turned our space program over to the Russians.

He's deserted Israel.

Abandoned our struggling trading partners.

And is trying to exterminate the traditional American family.

Why are you idiots attacking Republicans? This place has turned into a bigger cesspool than DU!

When someone who doesn't know me, and with whom I have never had any contact on FreeRepublic previously, starts by accusing me of being an anti-Palin troll, accusing me of mocking Sarah and mocking her supporters (despite your fatuous assertion that this was your act of kind assistance {!}), I will defend my truthful, sincere intent to see Sarah Palin elected president.

When you falsely accuse me, you will be called on the carpet for it. Unless and until you recant your falsehood, you will be held accountable for it. Me calling you a liar when you are lying is not "name calling," it is a statement of fact.

When I ask you to cite one post which I wrote in which my writing mocks Sarah Palin, your responding with something written by SarahPAC is in fact non-responsive. It is a transparent dodge employed to hide the fact that you could not find anything I had ever written which mocked Sarah Palin. You will be held accountable for all dodges, deceptions, and attempts to divert attention from your bad judgement and worse behavior.

I have absolutely no interest in "mending any bridge" between myself and someone who substitutes emotion-based screeds for the factual pursuit of the truth. No such "bridge" ever existed, and I assuredly do not seek one now.

All you have shown me is your breathtaking inability to seek or acknowlege factual truth, combined with a vile willingness to assault and character assassinate someone you don't know from Adam based solely upon your own off-based, inane assumptions.

That is despicable. Good luck to you.
