Is Don Imus on vacation, or has he been permanently replaced by "Special Report" on Fox Business?? They are not even showing "best of" episodes.
I know Don's brother just passed, and I wonder if Don is taking time off to deal with that or if he has finally hung up his hat on Fox Business...?? No mention of anything wrong or different on their website....

Don’t know, don’t care. Any excuse to get Mark Simone on the radio is worth it. Always a pleasure to hear him. Imus sucks.

I heard him on the radio the other day although I couldn’t understand what he was saying. Actually if I ever see him I want to shake his hand for getting that absolute jackass Ron Kuby off the air, permanently it seems.

He’s taking 2 weeks off to work the ranch. He will be back after Labor Day. 2 weeks of the Best of Imus can get tedious

Perhaps it has something to do with his persistent know-nothing, insulting, and snide remarks to Neil Cavuto, Stuart Varney. He certainly seems to have tested the limits of his long-time partner and news reader Charles McCord. Fox Business still has Imus’ picture and a link on its home page.
I like Mark Simone better than Imus, too. The problem is those endless insipid “best of” Imus reruns. My radio gets turned off at 6am.

He's having a facelift done, but it's tough to find a mohel that has his own guillotine.

His brother died on August 6. Maybe that has something to do with his absence?

Mark simone can be good but I can’t stand listening to him talk to listeners, and I hate the way he taunts, teases and belittles them. Doesn’t make for great radio. He does this all the time on his Saturday show while I’m out walking, and I find myself switching over to WOR or even NPR (followed by WCBS news up the dial).

That's true. He is a little mean to callers, but doesn't take many calls, which is one of the things I like about his show. I think most of my favorite shows have few or no callers.
I've really grown to like Joe Crummie a lot. Very entertaining. And I like John Bachelor. Basically, the political shows are, at this point, my least favorite, unless it's Mark Steyn.
The conservative monologists are just plain boring at this point, and never tell me anything I don't know.
I wish Bernard McGuirk had his own show. He's very funny. Basically, gimme Bernie and the impressionist guy (Lou?) and ditch the rest of the Imus show, including Imus. That woman who does the financial reports on Imus is unlistenable. Awful voice and personality.

PS— I can’t get WOR anywhere I drive (Northwest Jersey). I would tune in Savage if I could. Levin is so boring.

PPS— 880 is also my radio of last resort, unless the unlistenable Sterling and what’s her name are verbally mauling a Yankee game. Then I might try to find a decent song on FM.

Nooooo! Ugh please spare me. What is it with liberals and extreme pompousness (if that's a word) anyway? I swear, I never heard an idiot as pompous as that jerk. He is the great all knowing teacher and everyone his students. I remember a woman called him up once on the Curtis and Kuby show and let him have it, how she gets nauseous everytime she hears him speak, and told him to please do the public a favor and shut up! ha ha. Al Gore is another one with that lovely personality trait. I bet you this is his pet cat....

Where in the world is Don Imus? I just took the time to log onto this thread to opine, "WGAF?"

If you can't get 710, you might be out of luck with 970 AM, but if you can get it, they've got Dennis Miller and some others ... but too much Curtis Sliwa. They're all infomercial-like stuff after dark though.
I can get it in my house and car, but it's a little tricky on my walkman. Too close to 1010 wins.
