Standing in line at a parts counter here in northeast Oklahoma yesterday, and there were two guys standing behind me having a conversation about Michele Bachmann.
I turned around and politely added my $.02, and the gentleman who had dropped her name said "Yeah, I went to law school with her."
"Oh really? At ORU? (Oral Roberts University)" I said.
He replied "Yeah..." then he kinda looked at me and said "Y'know, I didn't know her well, but she seemed like a typical law student to me. I didn't see her do anything to really distinguish herself from the rest of us, which is probably a good thing... I also didn't see anything different from her than what you see and hear about her from her campaign."
Then we talked about some football and stuff.

You probably won’t find anybody who went to school with Barack Obama.
But you might find a few that remember little Stevie Dunham.

Bachmann studied at Oral’s University?
Then her campaign is dead to me, and anything she says is likely not worthy of my trust. I do so loathe televangelists, and I cannot respect their supporters’ and adherents’ words or actions.

Gee, how do you know this guy was telling you the truth? When she was in law school she was a student like he was.
What has this guy done with his life? I mean after all, he was in line at a parts store.
Can you try next time to do a little better than this?

Sorry you are so irrationally full of hate that you knee jerk condemn anything simply because of the name attached to it.

First, there was nothing at stake except a small talk conversation. The only reason I would have had to be suspicious of anyone would be some kind of personality disorder.
Second, I don't know who the guy was but he was wearing a suit and had just come out of the Manager's office, and when he got his air filter he went outside and got in a black Lexus, waving politely to me as he drove off, while I loaded my sweaty do-nothing-with-my-life ass up in my dirty old truck and went about my business.
Third, if you don't like my vanity posts, clearly titled as such, go find something else to do with yourself.

Yes, that's right - every evangelical pastor who appears on TV is just like Jim and Tammy Baker.
And every person, (maybe the majority of Freepers) who believes anything that comes out of any of them are uneducated rubes.
Can you say: "Broad brush"? Sure, I knew you could........

Bravo! Ain't it amazing how people who put all televangelists in the same class as Jim & Tammie Baker = the same group of slack-jawed dolts who put all Mormons in the same class as Jeff the young girl predator = the bigots who put all Catholics in the same class as the Spanish Inquisitioners?

Like I said, the only reason I would have had to be suspicious of him was if I had a severe personality disorder.
