Pickets appeared Friday morning at McCumbers Glass in Marysville over what a union representative says are issues involving wages, benefits and working conditions but a co-owner of the business says its 12 employees don't want a union...
the business owner needs to give them all stock in the business and make them all management

Just another attempt by the union thugs to either shut out, or absorb the independent contractors. Most of the trade union saber-rattling tends to be provoked under the table by the large contracting outfits, who use them as a weapon to run the smaller firms and independents out of town. This is the reason I lost all respect for the IBEW over 20 years ago. We non-union Electricians refer to them as the “I Barely Ever Work” club.
So, ALL the employees are not wanting to unionize yet there are picketers outside the business?
Why can’t these rabblerousers be arrested for vagracy or trespassing? Because the police union doesn’t want to cross picket lines?
Trujillo said additional details about the labor action will be made available later and that the effort is in its early stages. The union represents groups that include glaziers, architectural metal and glass workers.
McCumber said she has asked why the business is described as unfair, but she hasn't been told.
Sounds like Trujillo went to the Sharpton, Jackson, Obama School of Community Agitation.
There is no situation in which I would ever join or deal with a union. What you wrote is pretty close to what I would do if I expanded my business again and the thugs attempted to unionize my employees. I don’t care how much it would cost, I would either close the business or at least eliminate specific jobs that were “no longer required”. I’d pay whatever it took for a lawyer to structure things correctly and make sure I couldn’t be accused of retaliating against the evil thugs, even though that is exactly what I would be doing.
