I love the Gypsy Kings. There were here in Dallas a month or two ago but couldn’t make the show.

One of their releases, I forget which one, has a DVD where she breaks it down, exactly what she is doing. It is like a three stroke technique that combines the percussive effects.
Yeah, these kids rock those geetars!

I just got their CD “Re-Foc” today, you can start to hear the Metallica-ish influence in a couple of tunes. And they do a version of the old Dave Brubeck “Take Five” that is pretty darn tasty.
I have a new favorite band.
Anybody out there remember Acoustic Alchemy? Those guys were pretty good back in the day.

OK, I'm cooking a brisket this afternoon. I've had plenty of time to drink beer and go through nearly every video they have on YouBoob. I am starting to be able to hear the Metallica influence, especially in the way that guy tunes his guitar. Their version of Metallica's "Orion" is what Metallica songs should sound like, IMHO. Maybe you don't like Metallica and all that thrash metal, I like a few tunes, but this is some amazing stuff. Listen to this and you may change your mind:
Orion
RIP Cliff Burton.

Glad you like them. I just got a big pile of their CDs in the mail today.
These are not innocent little kids, these are hard rocking heavy metal players, but I am pleased to see them switch to acoustic and a style I am more fond of.
