ATHENS, Ga. -- A woman who lived with her uncle in Clarke County didn't realize he was dead for at least two days even though she was unable to wake him and saw fluids seeping from his body, authorities said.
Athens-Clarke police ruled out any possibility of foul play but are conducting a thorough investigation of the 59-year-old man's death to ease relatives' concerns, police said.
The niece had moved into her uncle's home only a week before he died and relatives worried that the mentally ill teen might have killed him, according to police.
"There is nothing criminal that we found at all," said Capt. Clarence Holeman, commander of the police department's Centralized Criminal Investigations Division.

Cue Michael Palin.
Tisn't something that you miss, or just squirt some Febreeze around to cover up.
What an odd comment...
We’re a very odd people.
He’s not dead, he’s sleeping. Must be a Norwegian Blue.
What does this have to do with Michael Palin?
Oh! I didn’t realize that a member of Monty Python had the last name “Palin.” After the actions of the Media, I wasn’t sure what to make of the reference.
That’s funny.
The Sarah connection blew past me completely.
No insult to the Lioness of the North intended.
No harm, no foul and pretty funny.
I remembered Gilliam and Cleese, but not Palin.
Sorry if I seemed a bit “trigger happy.” I’ve seen the left come out with some pretty repulsive things about the Palin family when the subject includes handicapped kids. I didn’t know if this was intended as that kind of “joke.”
I can’t say it would be beyond me to produce a tasteless joke had I thought of it, but didn’t get the chance. :)
I’ve been a Palinite for many years. Michael has also made a bunch of pretty interesting travel documentaries in the decades since MP went black.
I wouldn’t call myself a “Palinite.” However, after every unwarranted, pathetic and impotent attack by the media, she looks more and more impressive.
