Republican presidential hopeful Jon Huntsman was a top executive of a large chemical conglomerate that is paying $33 million to settle a lawsuit alleging price-fixing.

Huntsman International LLC recently agreed to pay the money to settle a suit filed by several competitors. The lawsuit accused Huntsman International and other companies of antitrust violations by fixing the price of urethane chemicals, used in various products.

Huntsman was a top executive in the family's business conglomerate for about five of the six years covered by the lawsuit's allegations. He confirmed Tuesday that he will run for president.

If you listen to Glenn Beck, you would believe that the Huntsmans are the most honest businessmen known to man. A handshake and a promise are all you need to complete a transaction with these men. Looks like that might not be true.

I’ve never heard him even mention Jon Jr. on his tv show, but he’s had Sr. on many times and considers him as his mentor. A lot of times, the kids and grandkids of an empire founder aren’t near the caliber of the original. I’ve been impressed by Sr. the times he appeared on GB.

Jr. - not. Plus, the fact that he was a BHO appointee is a deal-breaker by itself.

Difficult to know. I am just a little wary of Huntsman being touted as a business genius, when his only job was working for pops. Jon Sr who, if we gauge by bucks, is Einstein smarts, being both the Henry Ford and Thomas Edison of Styrene containers. I am sure we can count on the media to vet him. Pause for laughing till I purge.

Beck does 3 times more programming on radio than TV. More in depth coverage there. He basically called the kid the same as his old man today on the radio program. I have heard of no one but Glenn push Sr as the most honest man alive. Until I see more confirmation of it, I will be skeptical.
