Happy Ten Year Anniversary To Me (Yeah, it's a vanity)

Inspired by FR vets who have previously trumpeted their ten year anniversary status with a vanity, I looked forward to the day when I could do the same. So, here it is. Now, I can't think of anything to say.

Oh, wait...

Ten years is one fifth of my life. Wow.

I have to thank Jim Rob from the bottom of my heart for this, the most excellent forum on the internet. None of us know the long hours and selfless dedication it has taken to keep FR afloat. Thank you, sir, and God bless you.

I must also thank you all for keeping me sharp. Regardless of how iron clad I believe my point to be, I know that until it runs the gauntlet of inquiry by you, it is never ready for a debate.

I remember a few epic flame wars. If any of you remain bitter, I ask your indulgence for whatever I wrote.

I also must thank you for helping me keep my sanity when the MSM and other media culture seems to permeate our nation and trump rational thought. I have lost count of the times I have been near despair for America and have had my hope restored by fellow posters. Just when I think I'm the only one who gets it and can see through the fog of liberal deception, I come here and and am reminded there are thousands of like-minded people who can still think for themselves.

Also, thank you for your prayers. In my personal life the last ten years have been, on the whole, quite good. But, the rough patches have been nigh unbearable. Some of you have given me thoughtful encouragement and prayer. I am now and will forever be grateful.

Thanks again and God bless you all. Here's to another ten years.

Congratulations on your achievement of reaching 10 year veteran status. Lurked for two years starting in 1998... came on board in 2000. Best damn use of my time on the net bar none. Tried to hitch hike a ride to a freep at the Supreme Court right here on FR. Attended several intrastate Support the Troops rallies thanks to the rallying cries emanating from FR. Met the FR “Boss” and his faithful wife in DC at the Freepers’ Inaugural Ball. Bombarded Congress with numerous letters, faxes, personal visitations and phone calls thanks to FR. Gained concise knowledge of pertinent issues confronting / threatening our nations’ very existence here at FR. I could go on and on but suffice to say I am sold out for Jesus and Free Republic.
