Boy may have been killed in Hampton Staff and Wire Reports

HAMPTON, N.H. — State police have cordoned off the parking lot at Stone Gable Inn on Route 1, searching for evidence of whether 6-year-old Camden Pierce Hughes was killed there.
Camden's body was found Saturday in South Berwick, Maine, just over the New Hampshire border. Yesterday morning, his mother, Julianne McCrery, 41, of Irving, Texas, was taken into custody at the Chelmsford, Mass., rest stop on Interstate 495, just south of Lowell.
She reportedly confessed to police she killed her son with a lethal dose of cough syrup.

This is not the first time that rest area has been associated with a crime. A few years ago a trucker parked there ventured into the ajoining neighborhood and tried to rape and kill a teenage girl, luckily the parents were home and caught the guy before anything happened.
Apparently the mother was mentally disturbed. (OK, obviously.) She had recently lost her job in Texas (she had priors for prositution in Texas) and drifted up to New England. The motel she was staying in had a sign advertising $175/week rooms. In New Hampshire, even a fleabag hotel is probably pretty safe, but...
When the coppers nabbed her she was reading the Bible in an interstate rest stop. This was not far from the place on the interstate where a local woman pulled off the road one night with her young nephew and neice, undressed them, picked them up and stepped into traffic, killing all three of them. Sometimes people snap. I wish to God they wouldn’t take it out on kids.
The mother had a record apparently, even for prostitution which is a sign of mental illness to me, don’t tell liberaltarians I said that.

That’s right. And when they ran his DNA he was implicated in rapes and murders up and down I-95. (495 is a spur off I-95 around Boston.) I think he must be eligible for the death penalty in at least one of those jurisdictions. The father interrupted him while he was attempting to rape his daughter.
It’s not far from the spot where that whacko killed herself and her young nephew and niece on the Northbound side by stepping into traffic carrying them.
I’m a libertarian and I agree that prositution probably coorelates with poor mental hygiene (among other pathologies). I’m also a very infrequent drinker and not a drug user, but I don’t think I, or society, have a right to tell other adults how to live.
Who are the "liberaltarians", and why are you hiding your psychiatric skills from them?

This woman is pure evil and it’s just horrific, I just don’t understand this at all. Wonder if she did this in MA because it’s a state without the death penalty?
She actually killed him in New Hampshire which (nominally) has the death penalty. The death penalty in New Hampshire is so restrictive that those gumbas who slaughtered a mother and mutilated her daughter in Mont Vernon are not eligible. Legislation is working its way through the legislature to remedy this.
The last execution in New Hampshire was July 14, 1939.
Sounds like that’s what she did though, doesn’t it? Poor kid, I can’t imagine what kind of horrible mother would do such a thing.
This is still a confused and confusing story. It might be better to wait a while before coming to any conclusions.

Eye witnesses reported a dark blue Tacoma pick up leaving the scene with a Navy insignia on its lisence plate. His mother was spotted in a truck matching that description at a rest stop in I-495 in Chelmsford, MA. When State Police approached, she was reading a bible. When they asked her if she would come to the station (actually a “barracks”) to speak to them she agreed. While there she confessed to killing him with an overdose of cough syrup.
There doesn’t seem to be much room for doubt about anything except her mental state.
That area sounds like a stronghold of spiritual darkness - evil draws evil, like abortion mills and prisons.
In principal I agree with you. However, when it hurts someone else that is a different matter altogether.
