How much does a gallon of organic milk cost?
I buy the fat free milk to drink..but always get a container of half and half for my coffee..
Fedzilla is more concerned about Amish farmers selling raw milk than they are securing the border.
Organic runs here at Walmart between $5 and 6 a gallon.
I don’t drink organic much, but I do drink whole milk. Screw skim, or chalk water as I call it.
I think it’s the over processing of food and the amount we eat that’s making us fat and sickly. Also the way our food is grown now. Over planting, throwing just the bare minimum of minerals back into the soil ect. doesn’t help either. We must eat more of the good foods that are grown like that, in order to get the same amount of vitamins and minerals that you would have gotten from food years ago when they rotated crops more. The bible says, let the land rest ever 7th year. Me thinks, God knew what He was talking about.
The less processed a food/beverage is the better.. As always.. Moderation is Key!
My doctor told us to stay away from everything except whole milk. It seems that when they remove the fat, they also remove other things the body needs to have to digest the milk and process it in our bodies properly. Raw milk would be even better, but in my state, you can only get raw milk for your animals. They won’t sell raw milk for human consumption.
It ain’t making me fat, skim milk is gross, it’s like water with a calcium pill dissolved in it. Whole milk only for me.
Pasteurized skim please.
This article is so incredibly flawed and attempts to make connections where they simply don’t exist.
It’s about calories. You can eat Twinkies all day as long as you expend more calories than the Twinkies you eat.
Dr. Atkins pointed out long ago that skim milk has far too many carbs and people tend to drink glasses of it at a time because it feels so unsatisfying. One was better off in his opinion using a small amount of heavy whipping cream for coffee and never drinking milk at all.
Skim milk is seen by the body as mostly Sugar. Fat doesn’t make you fat, if it’s good, healthy saturated fat. Sugar and grains make you fat.
When you choose between (USA) organic and non-organic, you are choosing between a food that avoided using hormones, pesticides, herbicides, and one that did not.
If I held up two apples for you to choose from, and told you that one contained neurotoxic pesticides that cumulatively lead to cancer and Parkinson’s later in life, and the other one did not, which do you want?
